Close to everything. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Would stay again..one downside rather dismal bar area.
Very good hotel great location near to shops and train station .
Staff friendly and courteous the room was good size and to rear of hotel so was very quite. Only down point for us was bins had not been emptied and only enough milk left for 2 cups of tea we asked for more before we went exploring but when we returned late at night none had been provided
a one night stay
Decided to have a weekend in chester and stayed at the w
Westminster Hotel to be honest not my first choice of hotel but as it was Grand National day the city was very busy and hotels were limited ,but decided to give it a try and I was very happy with my choice ,the entrance was quite impressive the hotel is an older building but with lots of lovely features, the rooms were a bit of a maze to find but was spotlessly clean and perfectly acceptable although the mattress was a little thin and the springs were starting to be felt, Breakfast was all you can eat and all good quality food couldn't fault it staff were polite and friendly I would stay again.
Very welcoming and helpful. Hotel is also very comfortable and has a lovely atmosphere. Comfortable and very pleasant stay.
I arrived by rail and was delighted to see how close to the station this hotel is.
I only stayed one night but I was happy with my room. The staff were very helpful.
Ageing, but reasonable quality and cost
Not the place to come if you are expecting modern, clean lines, but it is comfortable and there are decent amenities.
Pretty good value for money overall.
The hotel was shabby and needed decorating, the bathroom were not clean enough one if the rooms had hair in the bath.
The local buses parked outside the rooms with the engines running, fumes coming direct into the room. And not only this road works were going on from the early hours. The staff were nice enough but our group of 7 would not return.
Very disappointing accommodation
The room, though clean, was nothing like the photo.
No furniture matched. Some of the wooden furniture was water damaged. The décor was shabby. The net curtains and windows were grubby. There was black mould on the bathroom ceiling. We had no complimentary toiletries on the first night. The bathroom was very dated. My Dad was bitten on both nights. That said, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel did respond to my Dad's complaints regarding the his bites (though he was still bitten on the second night).
I've stayed in several Best Western hotels and this was by far the worst. We were really surprised that Best Western would have a hotel of this quality on their books. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.
BEST WESTERN Westminster Hotel
The hotel itself was very nice, clean etc.
For me my only gripe is car parking. On arrival I was informed that as I was parked on the road outside the hotel, if I stayed there for more than one hour I'd get a parking ticket. Hotel shares a car park with another hotel and charges paying guests £10 Monday to Thursday. Then it goes up to £15 I'm afraid that my view is that if you are a paying guest then you shouldn't have to pay to park your car. I was advised that I could use the train station car park at a cost of £6 I was only there overnight as our travel was for my dUghter to attend an interview at Chester University.
Room that should have not been there
Have stayed at best western lots.
Of times but never in a awfull room like this shower was chipped and cold , room was dated and run down we asked to be moved after two nights as couldn't stand it but it shouldn't be let out to anybody
