room for improvement
Room was very dated, signs of damp. The floor boards were all squeaky and very noisey. We were worried about walking round the room incase someone in room below. The bed was very uncomfortable and not made. The room was unbearably hot even after we turned it down. Was a suprise trip for my boyfriend was very dissapointed. Does not match t.he photos

Lake District Break
Excellent hotel close to lake. Chalet style rooms within very pretty garden. Enjoyed our time there, breakfast was exceptional with great choice of buffet and cooked options.

Hotel garden rooms
Main hotel was lovely and staff were polite and efficient. On arrival we were allocated Garden room no.1 which had it,s own parking space.Very short on space for parking a family sized car but a bonus as the parking in the town is horrendous.
We did not have dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and we liked the range of fresh fruits.
Minus points were signs of damp at entrance of room, lack of chairs on terrace and it would be nice to have Sky channels. Outside of garden buildings are also in need of refurbishment.
All told,a pleasant stay in a very central location near town centre/lake front
