Uncomfortable smelly and noisy room

Unfortunately, not satisfied with the room and hence the stay.

There was a strong smell in the room from the moment I walked in. There was exceptionally loud groups of people staying in many of the rooms on the floor which was disturbing until late night and in the early morning. The bedding and pillow was uncomfortable and I left with a sore neck. The room also did not have air conditioning and the partially opening window was adjacent to a busy A road. So even when it was closed it was loud from the traffic.

Room with nice, but wasn't what I booked as I booked a twin and got a double!

Good central location

Reasonably good standard, basic hotel room and food.

No real problems

Expensive. And Draughty.

Very busy car park available.

Be prepared to queue to get on if arriving during the day. Staff were very helpful. Paid £89 for a small room with a broken window looking into multi-storey. No value apart from central location.

Friendly, clean and quiet

My partner and I stayed as we were having a weekend in Birmingham.

Staff were lovely, room was clean and comfortable. It was a small room but as it was a weekend city break it wasn't an issue. Would stay again.

Pleasant Classical look

We were pleasantly surprised to book a room for such a remarkable price in such a lovely hotel.

From the foyer to the rooms, a classical approach hotel with very friendly and pleasant staff had us considering switching away from our normal hotel chain more often!

It's ok

Nice hotel but the lift didn't work which was annoying specially if you was on top floor like us and we was promised a free breakfast on the website and did not receive it due to some new company which took over and they expect you to know this even though it's on there website on Google when you type in Royal angus

Good location in centre of Birmingham

The location is good but lack of well-insulated windows meant that the noise from the dual carriageway kept waking me both nights.

Ask for a room away from the road and it may be alright. £11.95 for a continental breakfast seems excessive.
