needs a refurb

The room was pleasant and hotel in gorgeous location, but standards have totally slipped ,from the days of von essen ,when we have stayed in the past .The bathroom is quite poor ,shower head leaked onto floor ,and because of that bath panel is badly peeling .The carpet on landing is fraying ,after being uplifted,as has not been put back under door bars ,and therefore looks very poor.Without going on too much ,staff in restaurants are simply not smart enough, surely a uniform should be adhered to,to maintain standards. As to question below, only if it had ,had a return .

This was to be our second stay so we decided to treat ourselves to a junior suite.

The accommodation was good, a nice bedroom, living room and bathroom. We were a bit disappointed with the lack of a TV in the living room. Toiletries were very nice and there was plenty of hot water. We had a nice meal in the bar. Breakfast was good but service was a little slow. All in all a good hotel in a beautiful location.

Happy people

The location is perfect with beautiful surroundings.

The rooms are cosy and clean. The staff are brilliant, very courteous and helpful. We have stayed many times and are planning our next visit.

Birthday weekend

Lovely hotel with beautiful surrounding area.

Staff, service and food excellent. Ample car parking. Stayed for a 2-night weekend. Bedroom and bathroom very clean. Lovely short walk to The Old Mill Museum with café and ice cream parlour. Wonderful ambience. The whole experience was very calming and relaxing. The only very small downside was the draft coming through the bedroom window, but easily overcome with a well placed towel.
