good but could be better
The apartment in general was very nice and well appointed.
It was right in the centre of the city with bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. However there were some downsides as well. The communal areas of the building in which the apartment was located were dirty and worn, in particular the stair wells and upper floor landings and the apartment i stayed in, 1.2, had a very loud and annoying vibration and buzzing noise that occurred every ten minutes or so, this seemed to be eminating from the heat exchanger on the balcony outside. The apartment was also slightly grubby with quite a few lightbulbs out and a lot of mould on the sealent in the bathroom.
Response from hotel
Thank you for your feedback.
We are currently 1/3 of the way through the refurbishment programme of bathrooms within Burne Jones House resulting in completely new and redesigned bathrooms. Unfortunately the communal areas occasionally get quite dusty due to the refurbishment so we have signage in place explaining this although we do our best to manage this as the project continues.
Only downside - lift was out of action
Great accommodation for Business Travellers
The accommodation is situated within 2 minutes walk of Birmingham New Street Station and is Clean and well presented.
The entrance hall might give you second thoughts at first sight as it's in the shell of an old building but the actual rooms have been modernized and out-fitted to a high standard with all amenities you would expect in a self contained serviced apartment. Definitely will stay here again. Not the cheapest, but rates for > 1 or 2 days can be negotiated down to a more manageable sum. Ideal for anyone who doesn't want to get stuck in the 4-walls of a standard hotel room and eat hotel food each and every day.
A bit eery
I got to the accommodation late - there was an old, heavy door - and dark corridors.
motion sensors on the lighting had a few seconds delay, so round every corner it was dark for 3-4 seconds before the lights came on....the building felt very utilitarian, like something from communist Russia. I didn't see any other person in the building, and 3 locks on the door....All a bit weird for me
Great location near station and surrounded by bars and restaurants.
Well furnished apartments for longer stays.
Great location and value for money
Located very centrally and the apartment was spacious and clean.
Ideal for the four of us to socialise and get ready for a night out. It was fully equipped with cooking facilities, including dish washer and freezer. The only draw back was only 1 key for the four of us and the check out was a little too early of 10:30 am. However when we arrived it did say this could be altered by prior arrangement. Maybe a bit late by time we got there though. Also parking was difficult and even though it stated offsite parking for £5 it had no link or indication where this was. Ended up paying £19 in mailbox for 24hrs. Overall the accommodation was well worth the money and would recommend it.

Lovely accommodation, spoiled only by noise in the alley below during the night
