Ideal accommodation for visiting the centre of Stratford upon Avon.
Clear and accommodating hotel, with a large and spacious family room. The quality of the food offered at breakfast could have been better but it was satisfactory for the overall price. Overall I would recommend this hotel
This in my experience tends to sum up Best Western hotels - nice food, accommodation and service but when you start to look a little bit closer it is in need of updating and a damn good coat of paint.
Would quite happily stay here again if the opportunity arose.
Best Western Grosvenor Hotel
Came back to the hotel at 12:20 am expecting a 24 hour bar like all other hotels we have stayed in only to be told quite nastily that the night guy would do us one drink but not to expect anymore would not stay here again due to this.
The Grosvenor is a lovely hotel, centrally based.
Front of house staff are all brilliant, very helpful and above all polite and smiling. Sadly, the hotel was let down a little on this occasion by the housekeeping staff; when I went to bed I noticed I was not only sharing the bed with my wife but also a crisp. My wife found another crisp on the floor on her side of the bed. The room wasn't vacuumed as the crisp on the floor resided in the room for 3 days, and the sheets weren't changed for the duration either. Normally I wouldn't mention this but felt it necessary as it highlights how impressed we were with the front of house staff and the hotel itself is very well cared for. Thank you The Grosvenor
Great value and excellent standard
Stayed for one night on my own.
adequate parking spaces in car park behind hotel. Room nice and clean and good standard. Staff very polite and helpful. Standard buffet breakfast for continental and waiter service for cooked. Would definitely stay there again. Only minor quibble would be that the English cooked breakfast was rather on the small side and in the morning I had the cleaner knocks on my door at 9.20am asking when I was leaving. I said in about 10 minutes and when I left room she was standing out on corridor waiting for me which I didn't like considering checkout isn't until 11am!
Room was comfortable. No complaints
How do you beat this stay?
From arrival to departure the staff proved anxious to please and were very efficient.
The room was
comfortable, quiet and on the ground floor-excellent for 2 over 80's.Situated so close to the centre of town enabled us to reach our daily destinations on foot and so easily. Catering whether restaurant or bar was delightful; especially the chef's excellent sauces. We entertained friends in the bar and were pleased with speedy service of drinks and sandwiches. This review was a pleasure to complete. Thank you Best Western Grosvenor.
Stay in Stratford
The hotel was very well placed for Stratford, so you could park your car and walk into the town.
The room itself was fine the only downside was it was very hot however a fan was supplied.
Nice clean hotel
staff very helpful.
only thing that let it down was the cooked breakfast was overcooked.
Dreadful night's stay
Hotel facilities description states air con in rooms and public areas.
This was not the case. The day we arrived was warm but not exceptionally so. Our small room was stifling. It was clean but with scruffy, dated furniture. We had an inadequate fan that we had to turn off so we could try to sleep. Probably worst night's sleep since a cheap hotel in Greece circa 1975. The window opened just a couple of inches. Frustratingly the room key never worked first time and our neighbour made a huge racket trying to get into his room at 2am. There was no room in the car park but we were able to park over the road for £3. No apparent air con in lounge or bar, in fact the whole hotel seemed overheated and airless. Truly awful experience.
