Having looked at the pics of the venue seemed very nice until upon arrival we were put into a side building seperate from the main building just like a block of rooms the room was v small looks lovely on pics but then the pics I viewed were of pictures in the main hotel area not the rooms where we were put v disappointed
A night away
A lovely place to stay even though the weather wasn't nice
Did not like our bathroom.
Old and dated.
Definitely more for business
Nice setting and very friendly staff, but definitely geared towards their main trade which is obviously the business conferences.
The room was a decent size but all the carpets & en-suite felt a little bit tired. The main bed was comfy enough but the "family room" we booked turned out to be a double bed + folding camp bed, which wasn't really what we'd hoped for and not comfortable at all. On the plus side, there's a really nice pool which we had to ourselves, and the bar food and breakfast was decent enough at a pretty reasonable price.
Excellent conference venue
The Woodside is perfect for conferences.
Functional, comfortable bedroom and good leisure facilities. Breakfast and other meals were excellent. Pleasant surroundings give the Woodside a rural feel.
dont visit if there is a wedding taking place
We stayed here on the 28th February, there was a weeding taking place at the hotel well it felt more like a motel, as all the rooms was separate from the main building.
I ask for a glass to take back to the room and the staff just gave me a look as I was not part of the wedding party. When they gave me a glass it was dirty. When we got to the room the bath was dirty, there was only one towel and one cup.
heating and shower
cold room no heating available
shower not sufficient water flow
We originally tried to book via hotel, but was told they were fully booked, so we tried Late Rooms and got a room.
The main building is very nice, but the entrance to the accommodation was a bit like going into homes for the Elderly, and the room was very small indeed, but very clean, warm and comfortable. lots of parking space, so if you have a trailer or something like, there is space.
The food is really nice, and the breakfast is also. And staff are very helpful and polite... I would go again.
Stayed here for 5 nights the hotel was very nice in a good location for visiting other places.
The room was spacious and clean. We did not eat in the evening at the hotel, but the breakfast was very nice with plenty of hot or cold choices to choose from, like full English breakfast ,fruit or cereal and Danish pastries, tea coffee and juices. The stay was made even better by the use of the leisure facilities.
Perfect for an overnight flying visit
