Great staff but very dated hotel
The staff are very welcoming but the hotel itself is in need of a face lift - the rooms have a very 80's feel about them - Its certainly not Modern!.
The food was OK but nothing to get excited about and the prices are high for what I would describe as an average hotel.
New year at Lismoyne
We (self, wife and teenage son) stayed at the Lismoyne hotel to attend a New Year party on 31 Dec.
We stayed in an executive room where a roll out bed for a third occupant was offered. For the one night we were there the room proved functional and clean with enough room for the three of us to do what we needed. The function itself was awesome. The food could not have been better with excellent aperitifs offered before a six course meal which was all served Hot, at a reasonable pace AND with a smile. The staff and the chef should be commended. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
My wife and myself have visited a friend, living in Fleet on several occasions.
We can honestly say the Lismoyne Hotel would rank as one of the best we have stayed in. It was very convenient, the standard was much higher than expected after reading some previous reviews. We would certainly stay there again.
perfect overnight stay
Initially I thought this hotel was a bit run down but on closer examination it is a lovely old building.
My single room was very small but had everything I could possibly want. Great drinks tray. Lovely biscuits. Trouser press and iron/ironing board. I was sad not to be staying longer.
perfect getaway from the city
the lismoyne ticked all the boxes.clean , very comfortable , quiet and close to fleet high street and other attractions.
perfect for a countryside getaway without having to travel very far
I would stay again.
I stayed one night to attend a company dinner in the town so I didn't have the opportunity to have any of my meals in the hotel.
The reception staff were helpful and friendly and my single room was clean and comfortable. I marked the room down a little on quality because, due to its long, narrow shape, the bed had to be placed under the window where it was a little draughty. Also, with me sleeping under the window, it was dripping with condensation in the morning. The en-suite shower room was very cramped but provided me with all the facilities that I wanted. The hotel had lots of character and, despite my negative comments about the room, it satisfied my needs for a one night stay. I have stayed at the hotel before and I would definately use the hotel again but would need a better room if staying for a longer period.
After arriving there was a comedy of errors.
Firstly, I was given the wrong room number and had an awkward exchange with another customer. Then, when I finally found my room and settled in, the procedure for connecting to the WIFI was not as advertised in the room, with me having to ring reception for assistance. In the morning, the shower did not produce any hot water and as I was in a rush I had to wash my hair in the sink, and finally as I left I was told that breakfast was not included in my room fee (which I believed I had already paid for). I was less than impressed with the service, particularly considering I was a lone female traveller. The cleanliness and standard of the room was acceptable, but was expensive for what it was.
Up graded and the room was clean, comfortable and very spacious
