Holiday Inn Leamington
Generally very clean.
Staff friendly although when trying to call reception in the morning, there was no answer. In addition, I had forgotten toothpaste and was clearly signed in the bathroom that they could provide for such things. Eventually, having got through, the receptionist was unsure and assured me she would contact maintenance. She did not call me back. On the upside, a very clean and tidy room and felt well rested. I feel their customer service is still something left to be desired.
good one night stay
comfortable room, just what was needed after busy few days.
Better food than expected
Hotel looking a bit tired - needs a make over - sink in bathroom cracked .
Ok for a 1 night stay - food better than expected - beds comfortable.
TV could do with a retune
Room was very clean and comfortable.
We only stayed the one night but tv would not tune in to any BBC channel - suggest they check the aerial.
Far better options in the area
A bit characterless and dated and it seems like quite a lot of money for what is a pretty basic, unimpressive hotel.
I also found the staff quite rude, with one actually telling me off for leaving a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door as I was leaving. After the lethargic service I received during my stay and them making me late for work after taking 30 minutes to bring an ironing board to the room, I find it hard to take criticism.
Comfortable overnight stay
For our stay this hotel ticked all the boxes.
The staff were extremely helpful with any query. For a buffet style breakfast it was all extremely fresh with only small quantities put out at one time and then replenished frequently. For a three star hotel this was very good in all regards.
Enjoyed the stay,it was a clean pleasant room.
Hassle Free Weekend
My wife and I recently arrived back from a two night.
We found the whole booking process painless and when we arrived at the hotel found the registration form already filled it with merely a signature required. We had travelled down by train and although the hotel's location was not immediately obvious it was still relatively easy to find and took about 20 minutes to walk. The lady on reception was very helpful and when we mentioned that we would be visiting Warwick Castle the following day she gave us a map and some very helpful advice both about train travel and by taxi. Once we got to our room we found it spotlessly clean which included the bathroom both were of a decent size with adequate furniture for our needs. I must admit finding that the TV had Sky Sports 1 and 2 was an unexpected bonus not often seen in hotel rooms. Although I would agree with others that having the heating system near the doorway is not ideal as that then becomes the warmest part of the room we found the heating system easy to adjust and the room overall warm enough despite some very cold and inclement weather outside. Both nights we both had a relaxed nights sleep on a comfortable bed and although my wife, unlike me, being a relatively light sleeper she complained of no issues with noise throughout the night either from other guests or from the nearby dual carriageway. In the morning we found the breakfast filling with a decent variety but that said perhaps a tad overpriced. We did not eat in in the evenings so cannot comment on that but overall we found all the members of staff we came across courteous, helpful and efficient. Overall we had a pleasant hassle free break.
I found the light from the television far too bright at night.
The cost should have included breakfast in my view - even a continantal one. it was well positioned for travel N or S.
