When approaching the hotel and upon entering the reception area I thought that I would be in for a real treat, it al looked very smart and 'posh'.
Everyone was very polite, efficient and chatty. The bedroom was large and comfortable and the heating was easily controlled (large radiator) and more than adequate even for the cold conditions outside. However, the room was a little past it 's best; Windows needed painting and double glazing would stop the condensation) in the bathroom there was a stain in the tiles where the radiator had leaked a bit over the years, one tap cover was missing and the seal on the shower screen was also missing. The latter caused water to run onto the floor when showering, although when reported to reception it was replaced within a few hours. Probably the most disappointing thing was that the Spa and swimming pool are closed for refurbishment over winter and this was not stated on the app when booking. That explains why the rate is so low, but it would have been nice to know in advance. Good selection of dishes, representing Scottish produce, available to eat either in the restaurant or the bar. It would have been nice if the bar offered more than on bitter on tap. Overall, it was good for a business related stay, although breakfast could have been included!
Great hotel, incredible rooms, lovely food and extremely friendly staff.
We'll be back :-)
A nice country escape but still close to Glasgow.
Staff were nice and food was good. The hotel is under refurbishment and looks like it needs a bit of tlc but we enjoyed our stay.
Excellent hotel with very good service from staff who were friendly and helpful but not intrusive.
Rooms were of a good size and very comfortable with lovely views across the Clyde Estuary. Food was excellent and the service could not be faulted - the staff were genuinely happy to answer our questions. The restaurant is spacious but with a warm atmosphere and it overlooks the hotel's golf course. I would highly recommend visiting this hotel and look forward to my next stay there!
Stayed here for birthday ,, Thought it was just the pool closed, but alas they closed all the spa facilities and the gym much to our dismay,,
Should have been warned the whole place is being PAINTED the smell was over welming and looks like it will continue for quite a bit yet so be warned if you intend a stay the paint smell is strong thoughout the whole building, Breakfast is very expensive , And so is the BAR for drinks
Had a lovely stay at The Gleddoch Hotel, amazing views from the restaurant and the new lounge is beautiful and very modern.
Staff all friendly and happy to help. One of the front of house hotel members of staff ( maybe manager ) made us feel very welcome and went out his way to make our stay great. (I think his name was Robert) Had a brilliant time and would definetly be back.
