The worst place I have ever stayed
This hotel does not deserve a 3 star rating and certainly not the "Devere" brand name.
On arrival the staff were miserable and dismissive
When dining in the restaurant we were served at the buffet by some deshevelled person who seemed to appear to be the chef but he essentially just shovelled three handfuls of what I would describe as grub onto our plates. We ordered a bottle of wine for £29 which arrived after we had finished eating.
The bar was possibly the least refined hotel bar I have ever been in - people were eating out of food cartons served by the hotel, and our wine glasses were wonky and obviously very very cheap..... But the wine served was still £7 per glass - nonsense.
At breakfast the only description of the staff and service I can give is that it was a shambles.... They ran out of food before 10am and refused to cook some more.!!!! The floor was filthy and there were sharp cracked tiles sticking up.....there was food everywhere on the floor and nobody was sweeping up - the canteen (a more accurate description than restaurant) resembled a budgies cage .....
The staff were complety rude and disinterested in offering a good service - one waitress could be seen reading the morning paper rather than doing her job.
The standard of cleanliness was appalling - there were more cracked tiles in the entrance, a dirty tartan carpet meandered through the building to a bug ridden hotel room that resembled a dust storm when my girlfriend switched on the faulty hair dryer!!!
On leaving the hotel I was looking forward to being asked by the receptionist how our stay was - but to my disappointment but not to my surprise she did not say a word - simply shoved my bill under my nose and grunted something about my PIN number.
It left me wondering if there was a manager at all - somebody from group head office should go under cover to see for themselves what is going on here.

Value for money
we stayed here for 1 night as we were going to a party nearby. The staff were delightful and for £37 it was great value for money. Breakfast at a small extra cost was very good. The bar menu is very limited.

The room was spacious and very clean with comfortable beds. The staff were courteous and helpful and the bar food was exceptionally good. Great value for money.

Lots Of Money No Quality
Just stayed at the de vere Staverton Park for the weekend of the british grand prix. Obviously the prices were inflated for this particular weekend but to charge £170 for a night not to have A/C in the hotel is ridiculous. The rooms looked shabby although clean, things have been taken off the wall and then not decorated, no mini bar, lamps not working etc. £50 a night at most. !!!!!!

Great meeting place
I booked 2 rooms for one night so we could meet relatives and spend time exploring the area. We were impressed with the comfortable quiet rooms. We were able to check in early and had an excellent Sunday lunch close by at The Countryman Inn. The pool was very clean and warm. The steam room worked well. Napton on the Hill close by has great flat canal walks in the lovely countryside.
In the evening we had drinks and sharing platters of meats and cheeses ... generous helpings..
All in the special offer rate and high standards made this golf resort hard to beat.

Recent stay
Booked at last minute. Enjoyed using the pool. Pleasantly surprised at free tea and coffee making facilities around the hotel. Would stay again.
