Very handy location for the train station. Bedrooms could do with an update.
Excellent location for getting to and from Newcastle Central Station (less than 5 minutes walk).
Free WIFI a real bonus. Food ok. The room was not up to the standard I was expecting from a Jurys Inn - a little tired looking. Fair/average stay overall.
booked to see miranda at the arena, ideal location and will definately stay again
Upon early arrival at the hotel we were advised by reception staff that if we booked in early we would get a room between the 1st and 3rd floors which was mostly used for stag and hen parties.
We advised that we would rather be away from these groups and would wait until later to book when we were told we would get a room higher up in the hotel.
After returning to check-in, we got a room on the 6th floor. All was well until around 1am when we were disturbed by the arrival of a hen party arriving back to the rooms either side of ours!. They proceeded in banging on each others room doors and shouting up the corridor to others from their party who were further up the corridor. To top it off a group from a stag party arrived back in at all different times - again shouting and banging on doors to get into their rooms. This carried on most of the evening until around 5am. The room was quite near to the lift so you could hear everyone arriving onto the floor,
Jurys inn Newcastle
Good value central hotel.
Rooms were clean and in a good condition. Negative: on arrival our friends were offered breakfast at a reduced price, we were not. After complaining we got the same deal. All in all a good hotel.
Good quality accommodation ticking all the boxes
As per the normal quality of Jury's Inns this hotel was clean and well presented with pleasant staff on reception.
A minor shortfall would be the lack of a bottled water / biscuits in hype room which you get free in most of Jury's competitors, but are sold at reception. The wifi costs money which again comes free in most other hotels.
