Overall very good

Although the room was obviously dated a great effort had been made to maximise its look while this hotel undergoes refurbishment.

Very clean especially the bathroom. Overall in need of a fecelift but very well maintained.

Overpriced and dated

I paid £120 for a single room only (plus £10 for my pup to stay).

The bed wasn't great. There was lots of fancy decor, a choice of toiletries, teas/coffee, books, a big wardrobe, lots of drawers, a desk and two chairs etc, but none of that matters if the bed and pillows aren't good enough. A kingsize bed (much newer) at a Travelodge would have been about half that price. The air con was fantastic, as was the shower But the price (to not even include breakfast) was too much

Canterbury buisness stop

Nice hotel.

Problems with hairdryer that kept cutting out and no alternative available from reception. Bath towels a little hard. Otherwise a good experience.

Charming hotel

Very nice hotel with friendly staff.

The staff in the restaurant were particularly attentive. Couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely stay there again.

Quality hotel in an excellent location

Abbots Barton hotel was warm and welcoming and very well situated - being close to Canterbury City centre.

Our room was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. The bed was large and the room was furnished to a high standard. We would definitely stay here again.

Service with a smile

The family room was extremely comfortable and well-appointed; the double bed, in particular, being probably the largest and most comfortable I have ever slept in.

We had an undisturbed , quiet nightdespite the fact that there was a major function taking place in the evening. The hotel staff were infallibly friendly and helpful. The one slight glitch occurred when we ordered room service; the meal arrived late due to the pressure of a busy evening in the dining room. However, the staff could not have been more apologetic for the delay - the chef even made a point of seeking us out at breakfast to apologise.. We would certainly stay here again.
