No air-con and small food portions
The setting of the hotel in its pleasant grounds is good but I found the reception staff to be a little "frosty" ... Whilst the bed and bathroom were of a good standard the stay was made most uncomfortable, admittedly on one of the hottest days of the year, by the lack of air-conditioning.
Unfortunately an electric fan in the wardrobe only circulates the hot air.
I would expect that a 4 star hotel had air-con in all rooms in 2014.
Unfortunately I felt that the Graffiti restaurant believed itself to be very much better than it really was
and charged a little too much for rather ordinary food that promised more than it gave.
I had bouillabaisse as a starter and was amazed at the fact that it was not even deep enough to cover the bowl of the spoon, it had one very small piece of white fish included and was totally bland and without adequate seasoning. Not like any French fish soup that I have enjoyed in many restaurants both in France and the UK.
We were offered just two small spherical bread rolls from a selection of two - one each then - and nothing further. I would have expected perhaps a selection of breads with a soup dish ...?
Main course was pigeon breast, described as "squab" so that perhaps explained why they were so small and so few. Simply not reasonable sized portions for a restaurant to serve.
The very least cost in serving food in a restaurant is the food itself - a little more soup and a little more meat would cost nothing, as would a further offering of bread.
Very disappointing.
The continental breakfast was ok and taken in a bright and sunny room but I was not tempted to pay the extra for cooked bacon and sausage having already experienced the efforts of the kitchen the night before.
Even at the discounted offer price I thought that it was an overpriced experience.

Very Nice Hotel perfect balance of old and new!
We stayed for 1 night on a Saturday to hit the town and I expected a good room but it turned out it was a very Stylish modern yet classy room
The on suite walk in shower was to a very high standard and the room all throughout was incredibly clean. I'm a frequent traveller and have stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world but I must say value for money via LateRooms.com this was an exceptional stay for a very average price
Located 7-8 mins by taxi slightly further then the 1 mile as listed from Cambridge due to the university road restrictions in place meaning cars have to go on non restricted roads it's not really a mile when taking this is to consideration
How ever this is made up for in was is a beautifully well kept hotel in a lovely rural green surrounding. Would definitely recommend for any one looking to stay 1-2 nights
Any longer I believe it might become rather limited due to the hotel not offering many services such as spas and pools ect

Excellent stay
Lovely stay at Hotel Felix, room wasn't ready at the check in time so had to wait 30mins but reception looked after our bags for us and moved them to the room when it was ready. In the meantime we sat in the garden. The room itself was huge, well designed and lit with a lovely bathroom. All the usual toiletries were provided and also dressing gowns which is always a nice touch. The meal at Graffiti restaurant was beyond words. Seriously, no words. Just absolutely amazing, outstanding food, perfectly cooked, incredible flavours, great service, we both loved every molecule!! Cannot recommend highly enough! Thanks for a brill stay.

Great service, friendly hotel
Lovely welcome at this hotel. At 3.00pm there was quite a bit of cleaning still going on so I had to navigate piles of sheets and room service trays to get to my room.
Room was great - biscuits on the tea tray would have made it better! Couple of stray hairs in bathroom (not mine!)
Breakfast next morning - again great welcome but the buffet was severely depleted with no bowls, fruit sald etc. They were quick to get more though
Would stay again for location and friendliness

From the first to the last, all staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful.
The room was very clean and well appointed. Hot water in the bathroom was amazing! Bed was extremely comfortable. only slight downside for me, was that the room I stayed in was ground level next to the driveway, so I did hear traffic pretty early in the morning. Other than that, practically perfect.

Comfortable Beds
Hotel was exactly as i would expect for a 4* hotel. We got a good deal including continental breakfast. Lovely big comfortable bed, underfloor heating in bathroom which included a separate shower unit, White Co complimentary bath products.
The breakfast room/restaurant was very contemporary and stylish, pleasant outlook onto garden. We only had breakfast here but the menu looked good.
Mini bar expensive, we took our own. Quiet and comfortable stay near to bus stop into city centre, taxi is only £6 one way.
