Room change

We asked to move rooms as the first had a creaky staircase above it, a dripping toilet and a noisy radiator.

Second room was much better - real character and on the top floor so quieter in terms of no-one being able to walk above us. They swapped us with no issue - good c/s. You pay for location - there are much nice hotels further out for similar money.

Very convenient in centre of Stratford

Great location and with car parking.

Rooms a little dated, and lighting is a problem - way too dim. Staff extremely helpful and very cheerful.

Christmas Market Stay

Stayed here on the 18th December for 2 nights and on first glances the hotel was absolutely beautiful.

Great location and the room was out of this world.

Simply Perfect

Lovely traditional black beamed Hotel with a modern twist.

Lucky enough to stay in the old part so had the full works when it csme to the charm and character you associate wiyh period property such ss the creaky floorboards and irregular walls. The staff were friendly snd helpful with private parling at a reasonable price. The Falcon is just a short walk to the many boutoques, restaurants and coffee shops. It has a modern reception area and breakfast room which were both clean and inviting with direct access to the traditional bar and lounge areas this Hotel really does have it all. If it wasnt for finding babysitters again, we would be back here in an instant.

Stratford-upon-Avon - read my book about it

I go to the Falcon quite a lot and try to stay in the very old part at the front.

It's wonderful to hear the ancient curfew bell tolling on the Guild Chapel and to look out over Shakespeare's gardens at New Place to the Swan Theatre.

Wouldn't recommend staying here

We were looking forward to a relaxing stay at the hotel.

I called the evening before and left a message to see if I could park there before check in but heard nothing back. We arrived and went to reception, we weren't greeted well and when I explained that I didn't get a call back so didn't know about parking, I was told "well, you know now don't you!" Staff in reception never smiled at us or acknowledged us. The room was very small and right at the front of the building. The room was so hot that it was stifling, we turned the radiator off as soon as we checked in but it didn't make a difference, therefore we had to have the window open, the noise from the road from 5am when the bin men came and the road sweepers was so loud. We didn't sleep all night as the bed was so uncomfortable so were exhausted the next morning. I used the iron in the morning and it was crusted with black stuff which ruined my jumper. The room was dusty, particularly the shelves inside the wardrobe and the bathroom smelled like urine. It was definitely not an enjoyable stay and not worth the money. The only good part of our stay was the breakfast where the staff were friendly. I left feedback on the card given in the room and handed it to reception but have not received a response yet.

In a great location so no need to try very hard

This hotel needs a refurbishment.

It is in a great location with parking in the middle of Stratford upon Avon and therefore will always be popular. Some of the service is appalling (like never answering the phone) and the food at breakfast is very variable.
