Beautiful place, lovely staff, just not enough of them!
Overall a great stay, but a little understaffed; waiting at bar, queues for breakfast, slow with drinks at dinner (plenty of tables, just too many for staff to cover). Food q expensive even though quite basic. V rubbery panna cotta! Perhaps a one off. The staff were all really nice and the room and atmosphere of the hotel was lovely. The pool and spa area also quite nice if a little oddly set out (sauna/wet room upstairs with no shower).

A lovely break away
Great hotel,
Food in bar was average as was service during breakfast
Q" have you gluten free bread"
A " I can't find any"
Food in restaurant and service in evening was amazing, could not ask for more, great food and knowledge from the staff. There is a gluten free and dairy free option on menu and the chefs are very flexible. This made my stay as eating can always be a bit dodgy for me.
Spa was fully booked, and pool was at capacity on occasions so could not always get in. However it was very nice once we were in!
Overall a lovely stay in a beautifully restored building.

Opportunity missed
This is a lovely hotel; great location which is spoiled by its restaurant service - mass produced, poorly served by disinterested waiting staff.
The spa facilities were badly organised and overcrowded. Poor.

Great value
Arrived after 10pm, but reception fully manned. Easy check in, great room and good quality food. Ideal for the business traveller like me. Didn't have time to take in the leisure facilities, but they looked pretty good.

This was a lovely hotel with a bit of class. The building was superb and I really enjoyed using the swimming pool.

beautiful rooms, but look for a quite corner
we had a downstairs room with a patio door. Very nice, but they have many functions going on, which leads to people , maybe a bit drunk, go to bed late.
If you want an undisturbed night sleep, go for one of the corners away from the centre. We had it last time and could sleep. The recent stay we where more in the center, and did not get much sleep.
