An unpleasant stay
The room was dark and dingy.
It looked out onto another set of windows. There were yellow patches on the ceiling and there was dust on the light fittings and trouser press. The hair dryer was ancient. The bathroom was minute and could have been cleaner. The beds were clean and reasonably comfortable though. The room service food was nothing short of awful. The whole hotel looked like it had not been decorated for many years. We were attending a wedding and the room it was in was quite nice with a lovely outlook onto the lake. This hotel is in a lovely setting and so much more could be made of it. Maybe their clientele is mainly golfers who only want a bed for the night. However I think that £119 for the night is way too expensive for what it is. We were glad to leave the next morning and didn't even want to stay for breakfast.
What a great view to have breakfast, great choice of food and served by really friendly, helpful staff
Although it is nice and peaceful place, the room we had was awful.
A bit likes bed and breakfast in Blackpool. The shower was pathetic. Needs a renovation. I think trip advisor may have wrote about a different hotel than this. The staff were friendly and breakfast was decent. If they can update the rooms then would be nice.
Always nice to stay here.
Good, but a bit tired
Service, cleanliness, comfort, breakfast, all good.
Room decor was a bit tired and starting to look a little shabby. Discovered, when I woke up that the radiator wasn't working. Could have just happened, but radiators don't usually just stop working. Reasonable value if you get an offer (we paid £79) but not if you pay full price.
Lovely quiet location and relaxing. Great for golfers or travellers.
An excellent value break
short stay two couples
The hotel is surrounded by countryside in a great location.
myself and a friend went to a football match on the evening in Wolverhampton only about a twenty minute drive in .Our wives stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the spar facilities and then had a lovely meal. The staff at the hotel where excellent
