Great Surroundings
Beautiful hotel, fantastically presented. Nice friendly welcome at reception upon arrival.
We stayed over for a works Christmas party, booking a Deluxe room.
Unfortunately the room was not of the grandeur that we expected. The décor was dated, bath was damaged and the toiletries supplied were of low quality. The 'docking station' advertised was old and didn't fit modern devices.
However, the bed was quite comfortable and the room was neat and tidy. The courtyard where the room was situated was very picturesque.
The window for breakfast was quite short, we unfortunately missed it due to a late night. Although I did hear that the setting in the great hall was amazing, and that the food was good.

Comfortable and quiet
We stayed three nights in a lovely large, recently redecorated room in the coach house annex. The accommodation is very comfortable with room to relax. Breakfast is served in the main building where the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Seen better days
The Mount is ok though it is a bit shabby and dated really. The food was a decent standard though.

First night blues
We arrived late and found chips or something similar ground into the carpet, curtain hanging off the rail, however when we raised these issues the next morning we were immediately moved to a much better room - pity they didn't allocate us this room first.
On Sunday night I ordered a taxi for 07.15, when the time came no taxi arrived - it had never been booked. Not impressed.

Game fair weekend
Having stayed at the mount before we had no hesitation in booking again and were not disappointed. Deluxe room was great and even though they had functions on both evenings service at the bar was still prompt and courteous. Also a table in the restaurant on the Saturday was provided even at short notice. Don't even start me on the breakfast or we will be here all day. Only slight issue was withthe toaster, only one side working.

This hotel is very comfortable and up to date. It is slightly out from the town centre but still convenient and in a quiet area.

Hotel was fine untill....
Hotel was fine when we arrived, my husband and I quite liked it until we headed towards our room in the annex. Going down a very long corridor and through the final door the temperature suddenly changed. The room was extremely hot and in desperate need of regeneration.. One person actually had to move rooms in the night due to an ant infestation.
