Nothing to complain about at all.
Great location, room, staff & value for money.
Comfortable, nothing more!
Reception staff operated politely and very professional.......Excellent.
Staff in restaurant worked very hard, coping with large numbers, however they lacked sadly the professionalisam of the reception staff. There appeared to be a shortage of staff in the restaurant.
Good value for money
We paid around £60 for a family room for one night.
We were only two but I booked the family room to have more space. The double bed was massive and very comfy but the pillows were a bit hard.
We had a tv, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facilities. The room and bathroom were very clean although we did find a bit of chewing gum stuck to the side of the bed. The only criticism was that there was no bathroom door!. So you had to go in the shower and the toilet with no door to close. Luckily I was with my partner so this didn't matter so much but I wouldn't like to be in that situation with a friend or colleague. The swimming pool and gym are really good. We used the facilities twice. The guy on the gym reception was lovely. We didn't eat at the hotel so I'm not sure what the good is like. All in all a good hotel for a short stay.
Quality hotel, nice staff. But of an odd building
The design of the hotel struck me as being a repurposed hospital the moment I pulled up outside.
We were happy with the availability of free car parking.
There was an abondoned horse tied up in the hotel grounds. I later learned that this is not uncommon, as there is a sanctuary close by & the former owners of the horses sometimes leave them close by to avoid welfare fees. If this keeps happening, why does the hotel not have fences to keep them out.
The ceiling of our room (#133) made up part of a staircase & the room shook whenever someone used them. I'm not sure what could be done about that, but it was irritating.
The oddest thing about the whole experience was the en-suite. I've never heard of an en-suite that doesn't have a door. The wc had a glass door, but that was as useful as, well... A glass hammer.

This is my second visit to this hotel, and i intend to return again later in the year.
It is very reasonibly priced, a short drive from:
Harry Potter World
Stanmore Station (Underground)
Good Hotel, excellent Value
Only issue was with the single pipe heating system in the room.
Although the radiator was off, the large bore pipe kept heating the room. It was so hot you had to open both windows and stuff spare pillows over the pipe. Not very energy efficient. They need to simply insulate and box the Pipework in and then 5 stars are achieved.
Ample parking, good food and excellent service
Stayed Sept 2014
There was strong smell of smoke in the room which took twenty minutes of windows open to remove.
I have stayed in better rooms at other me cure. Not up to standard expected.
One nights stay for business
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and had forgotten how worn the rooms are.
You know you are staying in an 1970 building with worn furniture. The bathroom however was very good and looked liked it had been updated within the past few years. The bed was very comfortable but for the money I feel there are better hotels for less money. I am not a complainer but I wanted to use the pool but because of five aside night there were no available lockers and I was not prepared to leave my clothes and valuables by the pool side so I did not get chance to relax and enjoy my stay. The bar was typical for a business hotel and had football on the large TV. Why do most hotels feel that all their guest want to watch football !!!!. BUT the food that was coming out looked good .
