Showers let it down!
Nice location, nice room but the shower was not very good at all! We mentioned the poor shower after 1st night and they changed our room the shower in the second room was only slightly better! I would love to stay again if the plumbing was better!!

The st george hotel darlington
The st george hotel darlington really need a new chef .myself and my wife ordered a bacon and mushroom pasta .when it was brought through to us I was tempted to ask for a straw as it was like soup and the pasta was over cooked. There was no toilet brush in the toilet.the hotel could do with a little refurbished aswell.

Adequate
Hotel is fine for a business stay or overnight from the airport. Fine for business. Could do with a facelift, but the history is very interesting.

Overall experience.
The Hotel itself was nice, the receptionists were polite which is always welcoming. The room was nice, the only down side was that there was no shampoo/body wash in the dispenser, and the room wasn't serviced in the morning, because apparently there was a 'do not disturb' sign on our door, but neither myself ort partner put one there. But overall it was good.
