Very nice place
Only stayed one night on weekend away. Couldn't fault it.
Would recommend booking dinner in advance as there was no room left in either restaurant for the evening when we arrived at 5pm.
Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice , well presented & good quality.

G Hall
Everything great, but the continental breakfast option is same price as full english. Shame as this stopped a "perfect" score.

Lovely location, great food
This is an outstanding hotel. The staff are cheerful and attentive, the service is first-class.
Whilst some may feel the restaurant is a little expensive, the varied menu and the quality and presentation of the meals we enjoyed was nothing less than sensational, and well worth the expense. Cracking wine list too.
Breakfast has something for everyone, from continental to the "full English", and whilst it is buffet style for all but the cooked items, it is unhurried and again the staff are very attentive and suitably friendly. I would recommend this hotel unreservedly, and it is in a great location for trips to some outstanding places and scenery in this wonderful part of ancient Cleveland

wonderful hotel
The hotel is impressive from the moment you first set eyes on it. The hotel does not disappoint when you first enter it either, well decorated with period features throughout. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. Nice touches of a tipple of liqueur and chocolates on your pillow. The bathroom had a bath and very powerful shower. The only critism is the beading round the bath needed renewing. A very enjoyable stay.
