Reunion in Edinburgh
The Old Waverley is good place to stay if you want to save time during your break. The staff were friendly and the facilities clean and of a good standard for a short break location.

We had a wonderful time during our stay, staff were warm and friendly and we had a great view.
But we didn't get complimentary bath robes which they advertise on their site or if it was because we booked through late rooms.

Waverley not bad.
Room was a little on the small side but clean and tidy. Demolition site next door at the moment so its noisey early on a morning.

A warm welcome preceded our stay with polite and courteous staff. The room was bright with view of gardens, en suite clean and fresh. Walls in hallway and across were a bit scuffed and marked otherwise it would have been full marks across the board. A special mention for the breakfast staff who were attentive and polite.

tartan tartan everywhere...
the old Waverley hasn't moved with the times..the lobby, corridors etc have a faded, sl. depressing air, with acres of worn tartan carpet. But our room was very comfortable with a great view, and the bathroom was nice, with an excellent shower. sound proofing between bedrooms seemed non existent..Breakfast was a bit of a shambles, very noisy with a lot of clattering about from staff and constant opening of swing door into kitchen. just put a screen infront of it! recorded bagpipe music didn't help. food ok but out on hot plates not made fresh, and one of those pathetic rotating toast makers. in general staff sweet and helpful. the location of this hotel makes up for almost everything!

Short Break Old Waverley
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room at the back was unfortunately looking out on to a fairly noisy building site. That apart I would recommend the hotel to friends.
