I won't write an essay; just the salient points.
* We queued for 15 minutes to check in. * We booked online, our breakfast order hadn't been included in the Online booking, despite appearing on our confirmation e-mail. * The subsequent kerfuffle this caused led us to cancel our breakfast reservation and find somewhere alternative to go. * The room was very small and not particularly clean. * The room was situated just above the outside smoking area for the lounge/bar, which meant it was noisy. * The barman in the hotel bar/lounge was surly, rude and unapproachable. * We were not informed that there was a private function at the venue, which included an outside funfair including dodgems, replete with a very loud public address system. * The room was so small that it was absolutely stifling inside which meant we had to have the windows open, but this just made the noise from the funfair louder and more disturbing. * The private function was also using the toilet facilities for the lounge/bar which meant that there was a huge queue and flooded cubicles. All in all, our romantic getaway to Windsor was sullied by a tiny, stifling hotel room, incompetent/rude staff and some fairground attractions.
Not what I expected
Considering this is a four star hotel, and at £119.00 for a single room without breakfast, I expected a better room.
It was stiflingly hot, despite there being a fan. The view was of outbuildings, there were many pigeons and there was bird excrement visible everywhere. I telephoned reception to request a corkscrew, it took two further phone calls and over an hours wait before i got the corkscrew. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and the rest of the hotel looked lovely, but my room was not.
Savill Court Hotel
This Hotel is set in beautifull grounds and is on the boundery of Windsor Great Park.
A georgous Hotel and very comfortable.
lovely family weekend
We spend the weekend in the hotel and I must say we had a lovely time. The hotel is very nice, customer service is great, location is fabulous.
We just needed a little bit more sun shine , but never mind. The surrounding land is great to explore and if you get tired of walking you get relax in the swimming pool or the jacuzzi.
Clean and comfortable hotel
We booked as a little treat for our 35th Anniversary and we had not been to Windsor for many years.
We arrived later than planned (long delay on M25) but staff were very welcoming and asked if we had eaten, arranged for a table to be reserved and delivered our bags to the room. It was a clean and comfortable room and the bed was really comfortable. Throughout the stay every member of staff said 'Hello' as we passed them in the corridors etc. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Great service. Only downside was the television. Although flatscreen as advertised it was rather old. There was no Sky News as stated in the hotel guide, and no 'red button' text service. This was annoying as we wanted to check the travel news and flight arrival information etc. There was no Wi-fi in the room. Overall a very good quality hotel, great team of staff, lovely grounds, great food at breakfast but evening meals were over-priced.
great garden place
The staff people are very very kind all the time
Excellent stay in nice, friendly hotel.
great place, staff friendly facilities great, wanted to stay another night Asked reception they advised £164 not including breakfast, disappointed as this was The cost we paid for the one night previous and this included breakfast.
We spent over £240 in one night would have been nice if reception had allowed booking for extra night at same cost, anyhow we found another hotel for £140 inc breakfast with fab facilities and superb staff
Room was comfortable but wouldn't pay full price for it
Carpet needed replacing
Shower base paint all peeling
Grout in bathroom stained
Wardrobe door very stiff
Tea & coffee facilities minimal
The hotel was a good place to stay for us at last minute, we booked the room with Laterooms.com and were lucky enough to receive a rate of £99.00 for a £245.00 double room (the room was tiny, which was fine for the £99.00 we paid but I would not have been so happy with the room size for the original price.
The facilities were good, but we did not find the staff in the spa area overly helpful, the lounge bar area was a nice place to sit and have a few drinks to relax although as the hotel had been busy the staff seem a bit put out. In the morning when going for breakfast we were told rather sharply that there was a queue and to wait in the lounge bar. The was not queuing system at all so everyone just sat around with their eyes peeled in fear of losing there space. After a while a few people complained about the lack of organisation. I then spoke to someone at reception who agreed to give us our breakfast fee back, we then returned to our room to pack before leaving to find breakfast elsewhere. Overall I liked the hotel but I do feel that if the staffing levels means that they cannot accommodate 100% occupancy then they maybe they should fill all rooms?
