Not aware that there was work going on
This hotel was within walking distance of both Kings Cross and three tube stops which made it a fantastic choice for travelling to and from meetings during the day. However, when booking I was not made aware that there are substantial repairs and renovations going on that, although covered by boards and hidden quite well, still make the hotel feel like a building site. Especially in the bar/restaurant area which had the atmosphere of a funeral home. There are laminated DIY signs everywhere to tell you where to go absolutely everywhere which make the place feel cheap and tacky and when you're spending this amount of money each night, there are plenty of hotels to choose from in the same area.

Great In and Out
If your trip is more focusing on the attractions London can offer than sitting in the hotel this perfect.
Easy access to stations. Walking distance to Camden town. It has all you need - clean, small, friendly and modern.
Not the place to stay for a romantic relaxing weekend. But defintely does the job !!

Okay, but...
The problem with London is that the accommodation is variable. Don't get me wrong, on the face of it, this was a great deal for a 4-star hotel located close to Euston and the centre of the city. However, what wasn't totally obvious on booking was that the hotel is undergoing major renovations, so was "in transition" and had no restaurant facilities. The room was fine but only fine - nothing special. And the all-night green light from the front of building facia lent an eerie other-worldliness to the sleeping experience. Okay - but probably better venues for the value closeby.
