The hotel was very pleasant, great location and room was very clean and comfortable.
The only issue we had was that the air conditioning was quite noisy during the night. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice.
Great location but needs updating.
This hotel is well located, a 10 minute walk from Kings cross station or a short bus ride on the 63 bus.
The hotel is traditional in its decor and looking a little tired. It is in need of a spring clean and needs modernising. The showers are over the bath and the furniture in the rooms is old fashioned. The staff are very helpful though and location is excellent.
This was our 4th stay and I an only stay it was perfect yet again a special thank you to Tom for such a warm welcome and for the help with city mapper everything was great all staff and food was lovely couldn't ask for better and I can honestly say we are planning our next visit in the next few months
The room was very nice, the bathroom was amazing with a fantastic shower, although the glass screen didnt keep the water inside the cubicle as its not wide enough, but other than that it cant be faulted.
When I booked the room I requested a twin room, the Receptionist said it was a double with a sofa, we were told that the sofa would be made up for us but on arriving back at the hotel after 11pm there was no sign of any bedding, so I called the housekeeper, no reply. I rang Reception to be told that it wasnt his job to do it but he came up and made the bed anyway mumbling under his breath. He put a single duvet inside a double cover and the sheets werent tucked in at all so we had to remake the bed. There was also no free wifi, he said I had to pay for it, but as an IHG member I thought this came free, but he said not. So that was very disappointing. On the morning we were leaving a fire alarm woke us up at 6.20am and then again at 8.10am I rang Reception and was told that someone on the 6th floor (we were on the 8th floor) was using a hairdryer and it had warmed the room up. She did apologise. After breakfast we decided to go back and have an hour or two's rest before our journey home, no chance of that happening. Workmen were drilling and banging so loud we couldnt even talk to each other unless we shouted. So we left feeling very stressed, we were not warned there was work being carried out. I'm sure this was a one off as we have stayed here before with no trouble, so dont let this put you off.

Holiday Inn Kings Cross Bloomsbury
Fantastic room great service and food was lovey thanks .
Would definitely stay there again.
We really enjoyed the week we spent in London and were very comfortable at this convenient hotel.
Unfortunately, our stay coincided with both the European and UK school holidays. Nightmare at breakfast time with hundreds of people queueing for a table. After three days the hotel improved the arrangements, but I can only guess at how many people complained. Although the beds were very comfy, the two upholstered chairs were very worn and their replacement was long overdue. Make sure you request a room without a connecting door or you will be able to easily overhear the conversations and laughter next door; not nice.
