Reviews - Coulsdon Manor - a Bespoke Hotel

4AA Assessed Hotel Ratings explained
Coulsdon Court Road , Coulsdon, CR5 2LL
Coulsdon Manor is set amidst 140 acres of landscaped Surrey parkland, with a large part of it laid down as a challenging 18 hole golf course - an oasis of peace and tranquillity yet just 15 miles from both central London and Gatwick, and easily accessible from all parts of the South East. Built for the Byron family in the 1850's.

Coulsdon Manor has been sympathetically extended, yet only having 42 bedrooms means that it has retained a relaxing and intimate atmosphere. All bedrooms have private bathroom and are equipped with colour television, radio, direct dial telephone, hospitality tray and hairdryer.
Surrounding the hotel, the golf course was developed in 1937 and was designed by H S Colt, known for his course design including Sunningdale and Wentworth West. The course boasts lush fairways and quality greens making it a fair challenge to low and high handicappers alike.
Coulsdon Manor also features Reflections Leisure, with facilities including squash, a gymnasium, steam and sauna rooms and an aerobic studio. After a day visiting the sights of London or relaxing in the Reflections Leisure, you have a choice of dining in the elegant Manor House restaurant or the Terrace Bar with its attractive patio serves lighter meals.

Reception noise at night
Stayed for a 1 night stay, food, room, location was great. Only issue being the room we stayed in (212) meant you could hear people on reception talking too loudly at night (3am, 4am etc) and the phone ringing. Eventually came out of room at 07.00 as no chance of a Sunday lie in. Disappointed as apart from that, really nice place to stay, just avoid this room if a good nights sleep and a lie in wanted. I did mention this at checkout, but not sure they were really interested, guy didn't even look up at me when I said all of this, he just carried on working the bill out and just said sorry about that.

Coulsdon Manor - a Bespoke Hotel
Poor room with a very uncomfortable bed and a very dirty toilet, really disappointed that TV was the size of a mini fridge and window could not be opened for any air, also floor boards very nosy!!

Great hotel - will be staying again!
Hotel is part of the golf club and because it's out of season the rates were that of s budget hotel but for 5 star accommodation. Only slight issue was that the room was slightly cool as it was freezing outside. Mentioned this in passing and a fan heater appeared within 10 mins. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. This place would be great for a get away for a few days. I would imagine that through golf season this place will be full. If you are looking for a great place to stay near Croydon then this place is it!!!

Pleasant stay
Reception staff very friendly. Nice bar area and food was lovely and well priced. Bed was a little hard but I still had a great nights sleep. And a hole/rip in headboard.
The rest of the room was lovely and very clean. And room wasn't too warm, just right. I would stay again.

Relax Away From The City Crowd
This hotel is a little gem. Set in the rural setting of a golf course.Immediately felt I had escaped from the rat race. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms well appointed and comfortable. What more can you ask.
