Pity about the breakfast
Nice room but the Breakfast was exteamly poor.
Nothing was hot enough including the water for tea, the serving spoons were never replaced or cleaned. I expected better for £10.95.

It was alright for the money we paid. A bit broken and rundown in the room, for example wardrobe didn't close etc.

Reasonable budget stop-over
Friendly, helpful staff. Room was a little tired looking but clean and comfortable enough. We were on the top floor so was mostly pretty quiet except for a few late night revellers returning not very quietly - but that's expected in a city hotel on a weekend! Not bad at all... Parking deal courtesy of the hotel in the very handy castlegate secure park is a bonus...

Good value coupled with good and friendly service.
Got a good deal on the room rate that enabled us to stay in Sheffield overnight. Room was comfortable and clean, well prepared. The service was excellent at the desk helping us plan our way round Sheffield, nothing was too much trouble.

At least it was clean...
Girl on the desk not very helpful when we asked how to access the correct car park (luckily a helpful guest showed me), they we're re-painting but rather than doing a bit at a time to minimalise inconvenience they painted the entire hall making it awkward to carry bags and a suit and not get paint on them. Bed sheet was very thin and didn't sleep well at all. Breakfast was an extra £10 per person and wasn't anywhere near worth that.
