Reviews - Cowbridge Cabins

2Self Classified Hostel Ratings explained
Llwynhelig Lodge, Llwynhelig , Cowbridge, CF71 7FF
Cowbridge Cabins are very comfortable, with nice decor, en suite with shower and WC in each room, free wifi, colour TV, south facing views and 5 minutes walk into the lovely historic town of Cowbridge with all its pubs, restaurants and interesting shops. This is meant to be low cost accommodation without frills but which meets the requirements of anyone who has come to the area to visit friends, take part in an activity or be out and about exploring.

Although there are no catering facilities (they are copiously provided for in the town) there is a free vending machine for guests to have hot drinks. There is a drying room and large fridge for any medicines or baby foods. There is also a bike store. All facilities are accessed by the guest's own room code.

Relaxing
Relaxing and peaceful . The only negative thing you could say is the smoke alarm in the cabin is close to the door into the shower room and is very sensitive. an occupant in one of the other cabins set the alarm off at 03.30am despite the warning notice on the door. Very loud. Slight delay in someone coming to switch it off. Apart from that a nice place to chill out . We actually stayed an extra night. Would book here again.

Excellent value for money
We really really enjoyed our stay with the dog there was a mix up when we got there in the fact the bedding hadn't been changed but there was plenty of phone numbers and the lady came and sorted it straight away and was really friendly and apologetic it is a basic stay so no food available on site maybe a vending machine with soups or something like that might go down really well there are however lots of restaurants and cafes in Cowbridge.
The only suggestion I could think of was some net curtains would be nice on the windows as we had to keep the blinds shut so no one walking past could see in. But definitely be returning for another stay. brilliant location and brilliant prices

Low budget and great value
Cowbridge Cabins is a very comfortable accommodation. Obviously there are limited services (only coffee / tea) but the town of Cowbridge is nearby and offers plenty of services. The owners of the farm are very friendly and willing to help you if you ask them. This accommodation is perfect for couples or even solo travellers who go out during the day and need a place with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. You can never lose your key as you enter with a keypad, which was a plus for me too.

Does what it says on the tin, and then some!
These cabins are great, in fact they're excellent. If you are after a budget overnight stay, but don't want a budget bed, shower or cleanliness then you cannot beat these in the area. Then they throw into the mix strong wifi & hot drinks, both free of charge & I am won over, as most people who stay, will be, I presume.

Cowbridge Cabins
Clean, comfortable, convenient location as described. Cowbridge provides all amenities. Fridge and hot drinks very useful. Even provided a fan for the hot weather. Owner/helpers available if needed.
Would love to find more of this type of accommodation all round the country.
