Was a last minute booking to attend a nearby event. It's a pity I couldn't have used facilities more

Good family hotel
The positive
We stayed in a suite, it was very clean and well equipped with a kitchenette and plenty of pots/pans/plates etc.
Location was peaceful
Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating
Pool area is excellent
The negative
Perhaps more suited to families than couples (not a negative if you plan on travelling with family)
Food in the restaurant is borderline poor. Pretty basic stuff for the price. Again if you are in a suite/holiday home that wont matter.

Great place for relaxing break in the Lakes.
Second stay at Whitbarrow enjoyed as much as the first time. Excellent accommodation in the Ullswater suites, well kept surroundings and good facilities with the gym, pool, sauna etc.
