Our stay at the No 1 Hotel in Wooler. Northumberland.
We got room number ten which, was a shower room only.
and that is what we booked, The shower room was very dusty and we had a very small leak on the sink, which we cleaned up. The room very very cosy with three lamps to light it as it had no natural daylight because of no windows. The heating was on all night even though the radiator was off. But the breakfast was great and we both slept very well.
We were not told about there were no food on mon night and Tuesday night we booked here thinking we could eat and drink after a day out
Very pleased with our stay.
I was very happy with our room, all staff were very friendly and welcoming.
I would definitely stay here again.

Great little place to stay ...
Décor (bar & dinning room) was a bit dark and oppressive, and the proximity of the kitchens (odours) was noticed but the staff and quality of food more than made up for that. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, tapas bar highly recommended. Great Breakfast.
Me and my partner stayed here last weekend as a way to celebrate our engagement.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff, gorgeous rooms and probably one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return!!
Lovely short break
Room was very nice and bed comfortable.
My only criticism is that the lighting can be a little on the dark side for women applying their make up . Also, they do not automatically change towels , we had to ask for ours to be done and the toiletries and biscuits were not replenished once used but this is only a small thing and would not stop me from staying here again if visiting the area.
Brilliant little town & excellent hotel
Staff couldn't have done any more for you, really nice little hotel excellent value for money
Lovely little getaway hotel
Location great being right on the high street of Wooler, with nice little walks around about.
The hotel itself is a rural treat with decorative wooden lights and ceilings. We went to the sister restaurant Milan which was nice, they didnt have garlic mushrooms on the menu (which we thought strange for an italian restaurant) but when we queried this they happily made them for us. All in all a good little getaway :-)
Stunning hotel. Didn't want leave!
Cannot recommend this hotel enough.
We stayed in room three with a roll top bath in the window. An absolutely fantastic room which could've easily been worth double what we paid. Staff were so helpful throughout and the evening was busy and buzzing with a great atmosphere. Breakfast was fabulous too and the perfect end to a perfect stay. We are now just deciding when we have a free weekend to go back for another break!
