And so to bed
Needed hotel for the night as flight departed at 5.45am.
Had previously stayed at the Hilton in the airport for convenience, however the rooms were very tired and in need of a good clean. This hotel was excellent value for money. Dinner was served in the light and airy dining room and was good, we took advantage of a Two for £29.99 deal which gave an adequate choice including vegetarian and a glass of wine. Comfortable beds and quiet at night.
Airport Inn Gatwick
Dinner was much better than we expected.
In pricing the hotel we should note that the shuttle service costs £6 pp return and should be added to the price of the hotel to have the true cost.
Cheap and cheerful.
Basic but OK
We arrived late after plane delays but were given a good welcome.
Room was basic and what you would want as the bare minimum (ok for us as only an short overnight stay). Restaurant was great with an excellent breakfast choice.
Great overnight stay for the airport
4 of us stayed overnight before we flew on holiday.
Comfy beds and great food. Perfect.
Had an early flight so booked to stay local...
Hotel was note good value even at £80. Hotel in stuck in 1970's Russian style. Not going back would have rather slept at the airport.
The Red Bull
We used this hotel as a stop over before flying out to turkey.
We are a family of five and found the room and facilities in the hotel ideal for our short stay. It was incredibly reasonably priced which I thought was going to mean not very good, I was wrong it was ideal. There was a great value meal for two offer on although we didn't use it it seemed great .. The staff were friendly and helpful and I will definitely use this hotel again if I need a gatwick stop over.
Airport Inn Gatwick
Disappointed that I had to give them your booking details.
The worst hotel experience I've ever had
After queuing for 30 minutes, they told us they didn't have the two rooms we'd reserved three days earlier.
They said the only option for our group of four was to stay in a family room with bunk beds. When we eventually got there, they had given us a room in which people were already staying, so the two women in there were (rightly) petrified when we opened the door at 11pm. Abysmal customer service and a horrible experience. Avoid at all costs.
