1 & 2 Withy Cottages, Knapp Lane, Huish Episcopi, Langport, TA10 9QY
Withy Cottages are situated down a quiet lane on the edge of the beautiful Somerset Levels where they combine peace and tranquillity with the convenience of being easy walking distance to Langport with its pubs, restaurants and shops. Ideal for weekly, mid week or weekend stays for families, couples on a romantic holiday or special interests such as walking, bird watching, fishing and visiting the many national trust houses and historic monuments nearby.

Huish Episcopi and Langport are situated at the heart of the beautiful Somerset Levels mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The ancient Muchelney Abbey is less than 2 miles from Huish Episcopi and Glastonbury Tor is only 12 miles away.

Dating from the early 1800's these blue lias stone cottages would have originally been thatched. It is believed that Withies were washed in the stream that runs in front of the cottages which were then stripped and dried in the back gardens before being made in to withy products.

The cottages have been tasefully renovated with many original features restored, we have decorated and furnished the cottage as if we were to be living there ourselves and we believe that we have made a truly comfortable home from home using only the very best to ensure that your stay with us is a wonderful experience.

A real hidden gem
Very enjoyable stay at no. 2 Withy Cottages for 3 nights over the August bank holiday. A beautiful, thoughtfully presented and well equipped cottage, with friendly and helpful owners Mary and Mark. Ideally would have preferred one single bed in the second bedroom rather than bunk beds - but these are large ones. Would not hesitate to recommend the cottage and would love to return and stay at either cottage if we return to the area again.

great overnight stop
Withy Cottages provide a cross between a self catering and catered stay. Food for breakfast is is left in the kitchen by the owners who live off-site but close-by.It is ideal for families with young children as there are 2 bedrooms plus lounge and kitchen and also garden for the children to play in. Accommodation is of very good quality.Owner also offered use of a barbecue. Cottage is quietly situated ,and together with the excellent service provided by the owners, the accommodation is very highly recommended.

Spectacular accommodation / Hospitality ....
When we both arrived we were greeted as if we were friends not customers, The cottage was wonderful so much more than we had expected, spotlessly clean and showed us how things worked. Its definitely a place we will be going back too as the hospitality of the owners was wonderful as well has the accommodation/ food etc that was there waiting for our stay.. Well done to the both of you..

Beautifully decorated and well-equipped character cottage in peaceful location.
The owners have obviously gone to a lot of trouble to refurbish the cottage, making it a very comfortable property, kitted out to a high standard. The village location is pretty and peaceful and having a great pub in walking distance is a bonus!

Picturebox cottage
Loved this cottage from the moment we walked in - freshly painted and beautifully furnished. Powerful walk in shower, with great selection of toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels. Fully equipped kitchen with essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, bread and butter plus cereals and milk for breakfast. As well as the TV in the lounge, there were also cards and games to keep you occupied. Beds very comfortable. Liked all the original features that make it a typical cottage - flagstone floors, low ceilings, lintels above the doors, etc.
