Decent but not for the family
The only reason to stay is for the customer service and the room/s, the room was airy and spacious basic however functional. The customer service was professionally excellent only the receptionist (black lady nice smile) stood out however cut against the grain of what you would expect from a travelodge.
Only a couple of small differences I would make, with the family room offer a selection of family games (to bring a more family orientated feel to families) also the breakfast was so poor, dry bacon, microwaved eggs, no apple juice or enough glasses or cups for juice or coffee, I would throw that in free to families. (It would certainly make up for the less than welcoming spread we woke up to)
To be honest as hotels go you could do far worst than Croydon Central travelodge, expect nothing exceptional however they do there best to do what it says on the tin.

Review
Very good location for purpose of stay. Clean big room. Only thing to say was we paid for late check out and was woken up by cleaner banging on door saying we had ten minutes to leave. When advising her we had paid for late check out she said she had not been told this and would have to check. Later on apologised and said there had been a mix up which we appreciated but still slightly miffed at being woke up.

I enjoy my visits to travelodge overall 100% every time.
I have rated the value for money, marked down because the sleep was great however the thickness of the bed spreads made it less comforting.
