mixed bag!
What can i say?! On a positive lovely lovely staff and a really delicious breakfast.
On a negative our room was tired and smelt damp so not worth the price we paid.
Bar very poorly stocked so had to go elsewhere for evening drinks.

There are only 5 rooms so you should not expect too much, no hot water during my stay, which as was only 1 night did not matter. Area a little noisy as there was a main road outside my room. A bit on the expensive side for what you get. Overall Adequate.

depressing do not book
what a terrible place, bedding so old and faded at least 20 year old the pattern was from 90s. beds where uncomfortable black.mold round the shower.the stairs and hall way had never seen a hoover and cluttered.ironing board in breakfast room. we where three ladys and we all decided not to eat the breakfast because if the kitchen is like the dirty bedrooms, no thanks this place was over priced and a big big disappointment.

Boathouse Hotel
Glad we only booked this for one night - the room stank, the carpet was filthy (we didn't want to put our bare feet on it!), the duvet was so lumpy I imagine it must have been at least ten years old, the Chinese-design bedding was from the late 80's and the dingy lighting and scruffy woodchip decor was awful. And we paid £70 for this!!! On a more positive note the ensuite was reasonable and the breakfast was very good. But we won't be visiting again.

Out of the rain at the Boat House
Friendly staff and manager, good breakfast and a tempting menu that I was unable to sample due to my schedule this visit. No problems parking, an excellent pint of Speckled Hen on tap at the bar and a fully functional tv in room. All in all a great place to stay.
