The carpet hadn't been hoovered and there was fluff on the floor and under the bed apart from that all was OK.
It was okay
Confusion on arrival but that was due to me misunderstanding the booking form, this was sorted quickly.
The carpet and floor on the first floor was very uneven caught us both out several times. The lift was not working and staff did offer to carry the luggage to the first floor. Thank goodness we were on the first floor. Confusion and some embarrassment at breakfast as we had booked and paid for breakfast on arrival the evening of arrival. The managers booking sheet did not appear to have our booking recorded so after being made to feel quite awkward in front of other guests the main bookings on the computer were checked and payment was confirmed this defiantly was not a confidential conversation. Busy hotel and noisy throughout the night and day. We booked for convenience before visiting family. The room was clean although a bit tatty would go to elsewhere if staying in this area again.
Everything good except the coffee at breakfast which was tasteless
Average for a travel-lodge.
Good value in great location.
Do not choose the food
Accommodation was fine and as expected.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was appalling. Guy in reception recommended the fish and chips and they were almost inedible.
The fish was very over cooked and came straight out of the freezer and the chips were barely cooked at all. Pity we chose his advice as there were numerous restaurants just outside the door. After this experience, we decided not to eat breakfast at 7.00am and travelled to France to have this meal which was excellent.
The location is easy to find . A lot of car parks . Facilities around reach . As food and Resturant
Had a lovely stay.
Room was very good. Only draw back was traffic noise from M20. But I have to sleep with a window open, which does not help. Must say the staff were nice too.
Customer service was non-existent
Go to the hotel about 10pm, no-one at customer check in desk, called out several times no one came.
Noticed a member of staff chatting idling to another customer in the dining area. I approached her and she looked at me with a 'what do you want' face. Turns out that Jade was supposed to managed the front desk. No welcome or greetings at all.
Overnight stay before getting on eurostar star
