Don't book here
I booked to stay here back in May. E-mailed at the end of October to check all the details were correct and to ask about arrival, they never replied. They e-mail me at 11am on the day of my booking to say sorry the booking has be cancelled we are no longer trading. My train was at 1pm, it was lucky I even checked my emails before setting off. Why are they still advertising? I had to last minute find something which was hard as it was a busy weekend and all the places that close to the centre were booked up. I ended up paying a fortune for a hotel when originally I had sorted this all out back in May to try and save a bit of cash. Luckily I'd just been paid, if not we would hav to have caught the last train home and ruined the special weekend planned for my partner. First bad review I've ever left but the customer service was aweful. A bit of advance notice would have been nice.

Ideal location
I had a few problems getting in; but this was easily sorted by a simple phone call. The accommodation is in a perfect location. The space available in the apartment was refreshing. The bed was very comfortable and a good nights sleep was easily attained. A welcome change from a hotel room.

Double booked us and let us down
We were double booked told only via text message at 3pm on day of check in. It was impossible to get hold of anyone regarding this. This caused a very stressful few hours rearranging accommodation at significant cost to ourselves. Based on this experience, avoid.

mixed feelings
I don't normally review places , but usually check others comments.I was surprised to find a lot of negative comments before staying, so was a little wary.I didn't have much trouble in contacting to find out all necessary details. The apartment was bright and tastefully decorated and furnished. It was very central and opposite a park, so we were quite happy. The criticisms we felt were minor but avoidable and as they had been mentioned before and not acted upon, we didn't bother to list them- there were no tea towels- ok if there had been the dishwasher described, only 2 bath towels for a 5 day stay, difficulty in using the hob and microwave, but then we are technophobes! No oven/microwave dishes and only 2 bowls. The lamp in the bedroom needed a new bulb. None of these concerned us greatly. It was noisy as next to the bus station. It would have been good to have a fan. What did concern us and is the reason the review is here is the couple who were due to stay in one of the apartments for 2 nights and who knocked on our door, had received no reply to their calls and had no access code.So after a long journey, they were left with no where to stay, at least not at that stage. That I think is inexcusable.Sadly, it seems, from people nearby this was not an infrequent occurrence.
