100% would recommend it to a friend
A friendly welcome, and excellent accommodaton
Our room and bathroom was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable.
We instantly felt welcome, and were free to come and go as we pleased throughout the day. We were served an excellent cooked breakfast every day, and there was ample provision of tea/coffee in our room to make our own drinks. I would certainly recommend this place, and we will go again ourselves if we get the opportunity.

3 Day Break
The couple who own and run the guest house are charming and very friendly.
The room was a little tired but nevertheless warm and comfortable.
Very pleasant place, an easy stroll into Coniston Village.
Our room was described as "small double room" and it was indeed not very large, but it was big enough. I liked the tray provided for dirty boots.
Peace Perfect Peace
I was unsure if I was at the correct place never having visited Coniston or the Hotel before.I rang the bell and was greeted with a beaming smile and confirmation I was in the correct place.
i was offered help with my bags and shown to my room, which was beautiful. Al that anyone could need was there .
I had been told that it was a room with a shared bathroom which was not a problem to me and I was delighted to find hanging in the wardrobe a dressing gown. That was icing on the cake only in rooms costing three or four times the price of this one have I received that courtesy. The layout of the lodge was shown to me and I as stunned by the beautiful view from the breakfast room. I was told this room was available for guest use at times other than breakfast and comfortable seating was there along with the daily papers. Paul, the proprietor, told me there were several places in Coiston to get an evening meal. He gave me my keys bed room and front door showed me the bell to contact them if I needed any more help or information. I returned to my room made use of the tea making facilities.Readied myself for bed as I had driven up from Yorkshire that day. The bed was sumptuous, the lamps in the right place for reading I picked up my book but soon found my eyes closing.I turned off my E book turned out the lights and woke with a jump at 8-30 the next day . I cannot remember when I last slept through the night, I will certainly ask for room 3 on my next visit. As breakfast was served until 9-15 I carried out my ablutions quickly and went along to the pretty breakfast room . Paul showed me to my table which gave me a panoramic view of trees, fields and hills, leaving me to read the extensive menu while he brought the tea I had requested, a delightful quirky touch was the milk served in a tiny milk bottle, which brought back delightful memories of milk delivered to your door. I chose egg and bacon which arrived promptly freshly cooked and was delicious, the toast could not be faulted all in all a delicious unhurried meal
I packed, paid my tiny bill thanked and assured Paul and Deborah I would be back. I carried on my journey feeling relaxed, happy and calm ready to face the journey home on busy roads in pouring rain!!
A pleasant B&B with excellent views
A pleasant B&B with excellent views, friendly proprietors, and amazing setting.
We felt that the room was a little on the small side and on a cold March night, we were disappointed to find the heating had been turned off...and as their was only a twin room available, we couldn't even cuddle up to keep warm. The bathroom was relatively close, but you had to pass the main exit from the property which seemed strange. Many thanks for extending the breakfast time for fifteen minutes to allow an early departure but saying "breakfast will be served anytime you want between 815 and 900" seems a little restrictive.
