Not En Suite
Booked this room in a rush and thought it was en suite.
Was met by a nice but quirky gent in absence of the owner. Toaster, kettle, fridge milk etc in room so you have to eat on your bed as there is no chair. Overall not bad, but wont be in a ruch to go back.
B&B near Thorpe Park
Last minute problem with original hotel booking meant I was stuck at 8.30pm without accommodation.
Booked this via Late Rooms... Only down side was not noticing that payment was via cash so had to visit the nearest cash point when I had found the place. Room pleasant, quiet, warm and comfortable (bed very good) with shared bathroom only negative. Breakfast available via mini-fridge in room. Slightly expensive for one compared to normal hotel price as room was priced for 2 people.
A homely atmosphere
I was welcomed by the proprietor, Debbie, on arrival, who accompanied me to my room and ran through all the facilities on offer.
I really liked the fact that all breakfast provisions, kettle, toaster etc were in the room, meaning I didn't need to get dressed to go downstairs for breakfast the following morning - that was a real bonus for me as a lady travelling alone. There was a great little fridge in the room containing milk, bread, a good selection of jams, and yoghurt. The only small downside to the fridge was that it was a little noisy in the single room I was in - I'm sure it wouldn't be as noticeable in a twin/double room where it wasn't in such a contained area, but I was happy to put up with that for the convenience factor of having everything to hand in the room. The bathroom, which was just across the landing, was shared with two other guests but I experienced no problems at all being able to get into the bathroom when I wanted to. The bathroom itself was lovely - a very large size, with a generous shower and bath, very clean, and extremely well decorated. There were also plenty of towels - both in my room, and the bathroom, which I was impressed with. My room was clean, tastefully presented, and well furnished with a matching wardrobe and chest of drawers. There was a wall mounted TV facing the bed, and the reception on this was very good. Debbie provided a good level of customer service, without being in any way intrusive and all in all I was impressed with the service and facilities offered. I would be happy to stay at Thorpe Accommodation again.
Home from home
Very nice owner and lovely house.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay.away from home and more. Even had a small fridge in the room.
When we got there we found no drop kerb and had to bump up a high kerb to get into front drive.
In the room was a very loud runing fridge and the bed was very uncomfortable.to add to this cars coming and going till 2.30 in the morning.Got no sleep at all and had to leave the next day.We got no money back and had to cut our holiday short.
We enjoyed our stay.
On arrival we were greeted and shown our room etc. Room was nice and clean as was the bathroom which is shared. Room had a fridge, toaster and kettle. Breakfast was bread left in the fridge, oats in a pot and yogurt accompanied by butter and various toppings for the toast. Overall we enjoyed the stay and it was very conveniat for various attractions lus Windsor.
Great stay, highly recommended
Fantastic B&B, free parking, clean rooms and under 10 minute drive to Royal Holloway campus.
I would definitely stay again.
Really nice room, friendly host
The room was really nice with a big double bed, there is a little fredge in the room and a little table and two chairs-really cute.
The room is big enough, with a lot of space for storing all the stuff (bag, clothes, coats...).
