Absolutely awful experience!
Carpets on the stairs up to the rooms not attached which made them dangerous, No toilet roll in the bathroom on arrival, t.v broke, no tea and coffee, carpets were dirty, window wouldn't stay open to let the flies out! asked for tea and coffee, said they would leave outside the room but didn't. Strong smell of cannabis in the corridors. Music banging until all hours. It has put me off staying at independent establishments, we will be staying in the very least a Travelodge in the future as they have a reasonable standard of cleanliness and facilities for a good nights stay.

great value, close to city
On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Ray, he was a relief manager as the previous one had left the day before! We were shown to our room and given clean towels. The noise from the bar was loud and continued into the early hours but didn't stop us from falling asleep. The room was clean and adequate, when we go to Birmingham again we will definately book with The Moseley Arms Hotel again!

Nice room but noisy!
The staff were nice and friendly, and the room itself was light and spacious. The bed was comfortable and clean. However, it was very noisy, with loud music from the bar making it impossible to get to sleep until after 2 am. Also, the pressure in the shower was very low, making it a bad idea to attempt to shower.

Ideal situation for the Irish quarter, good value, quiet, friendly staff. Good starting point to visit Birmingham. Would stay again

Ok if you're on a budget
We stayed two nights for a wedding nearby. Good central location and good price but if you're thinking of booking, be aware: pub has LOUD live DJ nights Fri and Sat (bed was vibrating two floors above it and kept us up til 2-3am); poor attention to detail- shower dirty, no loo roll, previous people's rubbish on the floor by the bed, dirty cups and coffee in an open pot all congealed into a lump. Water pressure in shower very low and water stopped running in the sink tap in the evening. If you're on a tight budget and want a reasonably central location, have low standards and don't mind being kept awake then it could suit you.

Noise
No mention when booking that this place had a late licence. If you want to get to sleep before 4am then go somewhere else. Room was decent, cheap and relativity clean though.
