100% would recommend it to a friend
First rate customer service from the proprietor himself , nice room and breakfast.
Nothing too much trouble
Perfect in every way
We booked this very last minute after a spontaneous decision to climb Snowdon.
The couple running this great little B&B were lovely, very welcoming and accommodating. We got caught up in a bit of traffic on the drive up from London which meant we did not get there until late evening, but that was no problem at all - there was someone there to show us to our room when we arrived. Location is excellent too with beautiful views and country side all around. Located just 10 minutes drive from Snowdon, it was perfect for us. Have already recommended this place to friends, and we'll definitely be using this guest house again on our next trip to Wales.
A great stay, nice quiet location, perfectly located for access to walking, wonderful breakfast
Very comfortable accommodation, friendly hosts, lovely quiet location.
Nice quiet comfortable central to everywhere in snowdonia
Need sat nav to find use postcode and keep a sharp lookout near a cross road.
Cosy Country Escape
We could not fault this at all, even though the room was set up for one occupant of the double and my booking was always for 2 adults in this room, this was quickly sorted by getting us more pillows and towels but then we were meant to have the room next door, I had booked two of his three rooms for my sons graduation at the local university and my mother had a single in a twin room (the bathroom for this room was enormous bigger than our kitchen at home!).
The rooms was spotless, and the beds were comfy, the bathroom (windowless) was well fitted out and reminded us of our cabin we had on a cruise. We liked the layout of the room and enjoyed the comforts of the tea and coffee facilities in the room, the view from the window of the garden was very pleasant. the hotelier was friendly and clearly loved sharing his home with the guests. The breakfast was 5-star, we all enjoyed a Full English made with fresh local/home produce. Cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, and toast were also set out for us, if only we could eat this much. The freshly brewed coffee tasted good and set us up for the busy morning we had to face. I had read reviews about this hotel being remote and difficult to find, with do not follow sat nav directions. Well we did follow satnav and found this hotel easily, yes it is down long lanes but it was not hard to locate, there were two ways to reach the property. It was shame I had only booked us in for 1 night. I would definitely return to stay again, especially as my son is staying in Bangor.
Lovely Cosy Stay
I could not fault this at all, I had a single in a twin room.
The en suite bathroom for this room was enormous. I liked the added touch of the toiletries supplied. The room was spotless, and the bed was very comfy. I liked the layout of the room and enjoyed the comforts of the tea and coffee facilities in the room. I was visiting the area with my daughter and son-in-law who were also staying here in a double room. The hotelier was friendly and clearly loved sharing his home with the guests. A very relaxing stay at a very friendly and hospitable B & B in a lovely setting.
Just the one night
A friend and I used the Gors Y Eira Country Guest House before a sporting event.
We were met by David who was instantly welcoming and helpful. The Guest house is small but perfectly adequate for what we needed. Its location is out of the way and not ideal if you want to be close to amenities. However, if you want quiet and relaxation it is ideal. Millie the little Westie gave us a great welcome by showing us to our room and giving us a lovely fuss. David and Einir clear go out of their way to make sure the guests are catered for and will accept special requirements if needs be. I would definitely recommend this guest house.
Wish we were there!
We stayed at Gors Yr Eira towards the end of the year.
Having made a last minute booking I was not expecting to be catered for as a vegetarian with a gluten-free diet, but I hadn't reckoned on David who told me it was not a problem. Indeed, our breakfast was first class and it would have been worth staying just to use the Portmeirion crockery, which is exquisite. How lovely to provide guests with something so special, no making do here. Our room was bright and of a good size, yet homely ,the bathroom was beautiful, and it was all spotlessly clean on our arrival. On returning to our room after a day out,we found that the Cleaning Fairy had restored everything to it's original pristine condition, clean fluffy towels, and even the rubber shower mat was renewed each day. The house is situated conveniently for Zipworld, an experience not to be missed. It is also just a short drive away from places to walk in the most glorious surroundings. We were lucky enough to have really good weather, and the only disappointment was that we were only able to stay for two nights. We felt that we'd been really lucky to chance upon such lovely accommodation at short notice and warmly recommend it to anyone looking for a base in this area. Absolutely nothing not to like!
great place to stay
