Sheppey Stay

My second stay at this hotel in Eastchurch and the bar /restaurant areas have been improved. The rooms could do with a refresh next. The food is not bad but the "Breakfast Buffet" needs to be sorted. My wife and I shared the one available croissant on Saturday and not even one available on Sunday, only toast. The hot food was fine though and cooked to order. The location is fine, the staff are friendly and I didn't expect 5 star on Sheppey.

Very pleasant business trip

When you've been working all day, all you want is come back to a nice, cosy place that will resemble your home as much as possible.

The Shurland hotel met these requests by far more offering a gym and spa to guests which means you don't have to miss out on your daily exercise whilst being away. People were lovely and the facilities in the room had been well thought through, with beautiful design and views to the church. Thank you I would definitely go back!

Wonderful stay

Cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the Shurland.

Went above and beyond the call of duty. Kind, courteous and thoughtful and found it very touching. The food was of a very high standard. Breakfast was great with the choice of whatever you wanted to eat and was cooked to perfection. We have stayed in number of hotels around here and without a doubt we will be booking this hotel again. Would recommend anyone to stay here. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable stay.

Good value work in progress.

A lovely peaceful hotel.

A really comfortable bar area with great tables chairs and sofas. Our room had a nice selection of hot drinks and biscuits which was regularly restocked.

Ensuite bathroom was nice and there were no shortage of nice fluffy white towels, also nice dove shower gel provided by hotel nice touch. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and we slept like a couple of logs which was so relaxing to wake up to. Unfortunately our room was above bar so was kept awake occasionally but noise stopped at around 11ish.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very high standard, excellent. Master chief presentation and taste. The downstairs has been redecorated and most of the rooms too to a good high quality standard. Unfortunately ours hadn't been done yet it's next on the list was small and adequate, infact manager gave us £50 off our bill as he said room was not the best but they had been fully booked when we booked online. Perhaps the music in the bar and restaurant areas needed to be of more heart or smooth FM variety as the techno, pop, dance vibe was a bit too much for us foggies . Plus the screen in bar didn't match the music. What about having news or another channel on with subtitles. A tad odd watching a video which didn't match what we heard. Lovely real fire in bar area.

Gym and spa looked lovely and was of high standard from what we saw.

Brilliant cooked breakfast in morning was fabulous, orange juice, coffee, toast and ceral.
