Not good
Wrong room given at first no working tv. Room bery low budget. Paid less at a holiday in and was much more nicer!

Disappointing
Noisy event on arrival but the staff said I could eat my bar snack in the restaurant as it was marginally less noisy. Fish and Chips was poor. Chips not fully cooked and the fish was greasy and mushy peas were too liquidy. Left most of it. The room was fine. Breakfast was cold bacon, overcooked cold fired egg and undercooked mushrooms. Staff were pleasant but at breakfast on waiter in particular was over attentive to the point of being intrusive. The corridors that led from the main building to the rooms were very cold and buckets beneath part of a glass ceiling in the corridor were presumably to catch drips. I really do not see how this hotel can really warrant 4 star.

Nice place staff very customer focused
Needs updating and things like having to accept terms and conditions to access 24 hours of free wifi then after I think you have to pay wasn't very clear. This day and age should be easy to access and free!
Staff in restaurant especially morning for breakfast were fantastic. Only stayed for one evening meal and this was good too. Breakfast was great and a good choice if a little pricey.
Bit far out £10 for a taxi to Cliffton Village but once there walked to all major city venues.

Ideal accomodation
Secured a twin room at the last minute at a very reasonable price. Excellent facilities in room although the hotel looked a bit dated on the outside. I understand that a major refurbishment will take place in early 2014. We didn't need the leisure facilities but the use of these is included which seems an exceptional bonus given the overall value of the room. I can certainly recommend this establishment.

Very good quality room but hotel and country club needs updating
The quality and size of my double room was great, only problem was the shower which had very limited power, more of a dribble. The facilities were good with a health club on site although the pool and changing rooms were pretty dated and untidy in places. Bar menu food was nice and affordable but the a la carte menu was far too expensive to try.

Friendly helpful staff. Corridors being decorated so signing absent(room numbers). Fairly limited bar menu but food came quickly and was OK? It was very quiet on the Sunday night we were there and there was no one in the dining room. Breakfast was to order rather than a buffet as there were so few guests. Very extensive grounds and nice quiet location convenient for getting in to Bristol over the suspension bridge.
