It was not was advertised at all!
I booked as a standard single room sleeps 1, how it was advertised on Laterooms.com. When I arrived, I was told that there were no single rooms in that hostel. The gentleman at reception was unwelcoming and not helpful. If he would have been more sympathetic, I'd have stayed probably, - it was hard for an old woman to go to the dark street and search for another accommodation using wi-fi in a café, - with 1 hour before a performance, which I came to watch in London.

Accommodation
Very surprised to find that the room had 4 bunk beds and mixed accommodation. No bathroom on the floor of the room.
On making my payment and finding the room I was extremely surprised to find someone else in the room, and she was going to sleep in one of the bunk beds. There were two other bunk beds occupied, but the guests were not present.
The establishment should be described as a HOSTEL and not a hotel, as it is very misleading, and is clearly described for a purpose.
If you are happy to share a room with persons unknown to you then fine. If not, you take your chances. The cost of £15.50 is all that the hostel is worth.

Bargain Break
The Smart Camden Inn is okay for anyone on a seriously tight budget. It's well located in North London, close to the local amenities of Camden High Street and the Underground network.
I shared a small room with 5 other people (3 x bunks), including a female, and it was a bit smelly with so many bodies in close proximity. The room had an en suite shower room, which was convenient, but there was a lot of competition to use it around the same time each morning.
Breakfast was uninspiring cereals, bread and jam. But hey, you get what you pay for and this hostel is cheap, so provided more or less what I expected - a no-frills bed for the night!

Was charged £27 on arrival, expecting £17. After I paid was explained the £10 deposit. Other accessories available at a large premium. Suspected reselling of some cleaning items. Bedrooms small, but wasn't expecting much for the price. Regardless, great value for a hostel in this location

Breakfast was nothing more than toast or cereal, NOT buffet at all, breakfast staff were sat at the table and left less room for guests to be seated. Noise was shocking of a night. Receptions staff were always more than helpful
