A one-night stay in a discount room
On arrival I was given a warm welcome and immediately escorted to my discount room, where it was inspected by the host. All being well he explained the pub opening times and aspects of the dining facilities.
My meal was well cooked and very tasty, and served with polite comment. There were five real ales on the bar, of which I tried four. All were excellent and immaculately kept. After my meal I sat at the bar and was made to feel most welcome and involved in conversation with the hosts and other customers.
Even in a monsoon-like downpour I slept well and awoke refreshed for an excellent breakfast prior to departure.
Overall I was delighted with my stay and would commend the Half Moon Inn to all, and will most certainly stay there again in the future. Hosts as pleasant as these are few and far between.

Half Moon was a rare find!
What a pleasure to have found this fantastic place so far home and yet with all the comforts of home. Modern clean rooms with great decor and a spacious bathroom! The food was absolutely delicious. A great selection of interesting food and drink. I will definitely come back for all these reasons, however, I saved the best for last! What I found most impressive was the friendly folks who operate this place, Andrew & Philippa Tarling, who are friendly, helpful, and extremely kind. They could not have done more to make my stay more comfortable. I can't wait to come back!
