St. Albans Jewel
What a delight it has been to stay in this lovely establishment.
The owners, Carol and Barry, could not be nicer. The B&B itself is very close to sightseeing and shopping as well as to the railway station. I would definitely recommend 178 London Road.
Overall poor value for the money.
Had to keep asking for milk. Continental breakfast a joke
Second visit just as good as the first
I really enjoy my stay at this B & B.
Very convenient to get into London (this time for Wimbledon) and to explore St. Albans. The building and gardens have class.
178 London Road Bed and Breakfast
Post pictures of all apartments on the site, not just georgian style pretty ones.
Cleanliness was an issue too, the dust in kitchen on utensil rail was off putting and grease on splashback, i have to admit i washed up everything i used before using anything. The beds were also quite uncomfortable but that could be down to taste.
No parking as advertised
Room was in separate building some distance from hotel
No cooked breakfast
Room clearly not what was advertised.
Wonder evening stay
Carol and Barry were both very welcoming and warm.
They made us feel very relaxed and had the right balance between getting to know you and providing one with peace and quiet. A lovely stay so close to the centre of town. A little gem.
B and B at its best
Very good accommodation but would have preferred en suite.
Breakfast well cooked and nice choice.
Home-from-Home in St Albans
Friendly and welcoming reception on arrival.
The accommodation was just like a home-from-home rather than commercial experience with an extremely comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The selection available for breakfast was extensive and of excellent quality. We would be delighted to stay there again on a future visit.
Best nights sleep
From the moment I arrived, to the moment I left, the owners couldn't have been any more friendly and welcoming, it was almost home from home.
The room was excellent and you wanted for nothing. As for the bed, I think it was probably the best nights sleep I have ever had. Would not hesitate to go back again
Worst B&B ever stayed!
Rude, ignorant woman greets you at the door.
You get driven a mile down the road by a grumpy man with an attitude to a small cottage shared with mentally handicapped people. Breakfast is a help-your-self bowl of cereal and a banana. shared bathroom - dirty!. room - dirty!. even bedsheets dirty. My advice is don't stay here even if they pay you.
