Well worth a visit
We stayed over here as we were at a wedding nearby, the room we were given had a separate lounge area separated from the bedroom by big double doors.
There was a decent size fridge so anyone staying for any length of time could stock food and drinks if they wanted. Tea making facilities provided. However, the breakfast included in the price was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. Nice shower room and fresh towels each day. The meals at the Craster Arms are meant to be lovely but being at the wedding and eating earlier on our day of arrival meant we never got to try for ourselves. Just a couple of niggles... The curtain in the bedroom was shorter than the actual window recess so that even with the blind the light came through the bottom. Anyone who likes to sleep late might find this a problem. The room could do with a mirror near to a socket in which to use the hairdryer. Apart from that, the pub serves real ales and has a fabulous beer garden. The place is very dog friendly which we normally look for. There is an annual beer festival at the end of July which unfortunately we just missed as had to leave that day. We would return in future for that and also the fantastic beaches just nearby.
All in all a lovely place to visit.
Friendly and helpful staff.
We spent a night at the Craster Arms and enjoyed it immensely, friendly staff, great food, and we even had entertainment.
Breakfast next morning was excellent. If I had one very small niggle it would be the horrific air freshener in the room which was a bit overpowering, but it did not spoil our stay.
Stay at Craster Arms
Enjoyed our two night stay very much.
The food was excellent with a plentiful choice. The bed was the most comfortable I've encountered in a hotel - ever !!!!. Close to Alnwick and Bamburgh. The seaside towns were a bit short on decent coffee shops but we managed to stumble upon a cracker in Warkworth. Lovely cakes, outside sitting area and great pictures for sale on the walls.
Great pub with lovely rooms
Really nice pub, lovely room, staff were friendly but disappointed with the food.....very average.
The Craster Arms Hotel
Excellent service and decent food but rooms now looking a bit tired and indeed of a refurb
Great night away
Had a great night at the Craster Arms.
We are regular visitors to the pub & the area is stunning. We arrived checked in and had a couple of drinks in the bar. We also took our cocker spaniel as dogs are very welcome here.
We decided to have the Christmas Fair menu which was delicious. The food is excellent here. Staff are friendly and helpful and the owner is lively.
We had our breakfast at the new salt water cafe which is under the same ownership and that was excellent too. We will definitely be back soon.
Craster Arms Oct 2015
Only have 3 rooms;access separate from main inn.
Clean, comfortable well furnished with lots of storage space. Staff very obliging & friendly. Wide food options, esp fresh fish, well presented.
Nice place slow breakfast
Easy to find, nice staff, good room - all good.
One small moan was that breakfast took a long while to sort and when you want to get away that can be a pain.
We had two nights at the craster arms during easter week.
The accommodation and the food were excellent. Both ourselves and our dog had a great stay and will return.
