It offers a warm welcome matched by a dedicated commitment to service and quality. Needs cleaning and updating
I stay here on a monthly basis for 1 night. The rate is good and the breakfast lovely, sheets and towels always clean and in good condition. The whole place however does need updating and top to toe cleaning. My room ,on the lower floor, around the window area was thick black mould, dust, damp, and the curtains were too black and damp with mould, this is unacceptable. The dress chair was disgustingly stained. I shall be writing to the manager and sending photos of the above as it really was dreadful. The reception staff never ask has everything been ok with your stay, they lack personality at all and have no guest interaction. The breakfast staff are always lovely though.

Overall lovely stay
No problems with the room. Great shower, very comfy bed. Tea and coffee. Liked the tv, that you could extend it. Lovely and warm. Only problem was the noise from the party downstairs, but this went off at 0030. Thankfully. Breakfast was ok, but I've had better. Needs hash browns!. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Overnight, but would enjoy longer stay
Stayed overnight, visiting family in Wrexham; very handy for there, and a very comfortable stay. The lower rating for the room was because there was only one bath towel; Reception said we could have phoned down, but you don't check that late at night. However, maybe that's a bit niggly: staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient, both when we checked in and when we came for a welcome varied breakfast. So we'd happily come again, for a longer visit, and know we'd be looked after well.

Lovely friendly service when I arrived, the room was fine, I didn't pay a large fee so it was more than adequate, the shower was really good. Where I felt the hotel let itself down was the restaurant; as a lone female I find that I can be overlooked and therefore can be quite sensitive when it happens, here it was simply awful. I was left standing at the bar like a ninny for ages, just completely ignored, when my presence was finally acknowledged it was with an apology but by then I was simply squirming.. My roll , though hot on the outside was frozen in the middle and i could not gain eye contact with a member of staff to get this rectified. in the morning, though tea was ordered, it never arrived. I could have got these problems sorted by making a spectacle of myself, i chose not to do so. Staff please take note and try to look after ladies

Great hotel, great value and a great room.
All round a great experience. I was not there for long. I was not able to get the TV to work for some reason, and I was too tired to call the hotel staff to sort it out for me.
I did recommend it to my host in Wrexham the next day, and I think she has booked a stay there in the next few weeks.
