Reviews - The Seven Stars

4Self Classified Inn Ratings explained
North Road, Timsbury, , Bath, BA2 0JJ
Landlady Abigail has worked exceedingly hard to bring The Seven Stars at Timsbury up to the standard of excellence that it is today. The pub has two tastefully decorated ensuite double rooms, making The Seven Stars a perfect base for exploring Somerset and the surrounding areas. With a close working relationship with the head chef, Abigail can guarantee a wide range of delicious food to suit every need. Along with their exciting ever changing menu, the warm hospitality of the pub has attracted the attention of locals and residents from surrounding areas and they have had nothing but positive feedback. Fresh fish is readily available on Friday’s so make sure you keep your eyes peeled on the menu. Why not indulge in their Sunday roasts every Sunday between 12pm and 3pm, but don’t forget to book, they are in popular demand. The huge garden and fully equipped games room with pool table and dart board make sure that you’re always entertained. It’s time to pay a visit….. We look forward to welcoming you.

Two night stay
Great place to stay. Staff where very friendly and food was great. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was big and very comfortable only thing i could say was the hot water for the shower was not very powerful but that is the only thing. Great for getting into Bath and Bristol.

Review
The pub we stayed in was welcoming and the local people were very friendly. The double room was adequate, very well decorated and clean and tidy. There was no television or radio in the room which I had expected. I could not work the shower properly as either it was scalding hot or freezing so avoided it the second day altogether but had previously let the proprietor know about it. The food was very well presented and 'healthily' cooked which unfortunately meant the toast used to soak up the egg was dry and therefore cut and tasted like cardboard - even though the eggs looked very nice. Each evening there was the sound of a door or cupboard banging back and forth. Never discovered what it was but it happened every five minutes or so and therefore was annoying. The proprietor did kindly loan us a radio which helped the atmosphere in the room.
Overall our stay was OK, but for £75 a night I would certainly expect there to be a television in the room.
