a very disappointing experience
looking forward to a nice weekend in St Ives, hotel very poor indeed, bathroom dirty and the room was described as luxury executive room.
It certainly was not.
Great little place for a night in Saint Ives
I stayed at the Dolphin Hotel for a business trip.
The hotel had a great location right next to the river in Saint Ives with fast connections via the A14 to Huntingdon. Rooms are well presented but a little bit outdated. Free parking and a great self service breakfast make this a good little stop.
The Dolphin Hotel
we only stayed the one night the room could do with a refurb the carpet was badly srained and the walls a bit shabby the bed was very hard and could do with a new mattress and pillows as we were only there one night it was not too bad if we where staying longer i would have complained the best part of the stay was the breakfast which was very good as were the staff
Good average accommodation
I only stayed one night so didn't get chance to use all the facility's on offer, but the single room was adequate the TV was a little on the small side, the staff in the bar and resturant where helpfull & cheerfull, food in the resturant (carvery style) was beautiful lots of flavour & choices of dishes at very reasonable price, breakfast is much the same, I will be back again for sure,
Aches and Pains
Very poor hotel, needs updating for the high price we paid.
Still suffering from sleeping on a very hard bed !
Staff very helpful hotel clean and tidy
The bed was awful springs coming through and rock hard to sleep on room next to suit where there was a party going on
The Dolphin Hotel
Good for young families ideal having separate bedrooms the only problem I had was no bedside lights in the second bedroom which would have been handy as I have small children who like most don't like total darkness at night.
The decor was a little damaged but the room was clean. Other than that it was a well thought out room as they even had a baby gate on the stairs.
not bad, service was not with a smile at reception anyways.
great little town
Executive room is not worth the money.
Bathroom looks old and water pressure is so low that is difficult to take a shower. Bed quilt is too warm for summer time. Nevertheless location is great. and is very quiet so do not hear other guests or street noise. WiFi speed is very good.
Ok for the price paid
Hotel looks nice from outside in nice surroundings, not very sound proof, room next to a public road/walkway, could hear everything that went on outside.
IE noisy teens walking past and being a nuisance. Not very customer focused, food very bland, (had fish & chips). Hotel and restaurant looking tired. Room average but shower room definitely needs looking at. I would say average to low 3star hotel.
