Reviews - Hôtel Parc Mazon Biarritz

13 AVENUE DU MARECHAL JOFFRE , Biarritz, 64200
Park Mazon Hotel and Residence
The hotel is named after one of Biarritz's most famous mariners: François Mazon.
A captain with a heart of gold, in 1911 he bequeathed a plot of land to the town of Biarritz to be used as a children's playground, which was renovated in 2003.
In summer, folk festivals and Basque pelota matches are organised at the fronton of Mazon Park. We welcome you to an authentic Basque house in a calm and quiet part of the town centre, near to the market district, and the Côte des Basques beach.
The Chocolate Museum can be found 5 minutes from the hotel, and one can saunter along the mythical Côte des Basques, then over the Rocher de la Vierge footbridge, stroll by the fishing port just as far as the Grande Plage, and finally go window shopping in the town centre.

Great central hotel
I was just looking for good value accommodation near the centre of Biarritz and this was great. Easily walkable to the train station (30mins), coastal views (5mins), main strip (10mins) and beach (15mins).

Room in Biarritz
This room was just a room with a kitchenette and a bathroom. It was just big enough for 4 people to sleep in, two being on a sofa bed. There was very little natural light with a tiny inner courtyard for ventilation within the whole building. That said Biarritz is very expensive so this was the only accommodation we could afford for the 2 nights we stayed before moving onto Spain. It was in fact the most expensive of our holiday, even more than a 4 star hotel we stayed in. The family were however, very friendly and very helpful and Biarritz is of course fabulous. It was within walking distance of the beaches and town centre. Good for a one or two nighter but no more.

Tres accueillant
